5* Accommodation and host! We stayed here for 2 weeks with our little sons and loved it from the beginning. The place and area was perfect for us and so much attention was paid to (outlet protection, stair gates, baby cot, baby high chair) without us asking for it. Such a warm family that can't be more eager. And of course, the accommodation and area leave nothing to be desired. We will be happy to come back! Thank you for everything! ❤️

We stayed end of April for over two weeks and absolutely loved our stay. Our welcome to Mandarini house by Venetia and Michalis was so thoughtful and considerate… many kind touches - homemade Easter treats, jam etc and enough in the fridge and cupboards to tide us over for a few days. The house is a fantastic base to explore Eastern Crete. It is comfortable, homely, practical, and the village is lovely and friendly. We had daily hikes, often from the village, there’s lots to see and do. We highly recommend Mandarini and we’re blown away by the pristine beauty of this special part of Crete 😎😎

We really enjoyed our stay in Palekastro! Pro: Cozy kitchen, lovely quiet garden and terrace, super clean, walking distance to taverns and shops. Con (which we did not mind, but one should be aware of): The street in the front is quite busy and light sleepers might have trouble, there’s no “loungy” sofa/ seating area.

A tranquil beach scene features golden sand bordered by clear turquoise waters. Rocky cliffs rise along the shoreline. A few individuals can be seen enjoying the beach, while the surrounding greenery adds natural beauty to the landscape. A road runs parallel to the shoreline.

We loved this airbnb and town. Would definitely return here again. The only negative is that the bedroom doesn't have a/c - there is one unit in the living room which you can use to cool the bedroom so it is sufficient (but maybe not very efficient!).

The bathroom features a modern design with a square vessel sink placed atop a simple countertop. A large mirror is mounted above with soft lighting, and flowers add a touch of color. A wall-mounted toilet complements the sleek aesthetic, while a waste bin is positioned nearby.
