Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Paiva River

We can’t say enough about how magical our stay was. The unit is adorable and so unique. We loved the setting- the vineyards, the birds. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. The sunset was glorious. The pool was a welcome respite from the heat. There is only one air conditioner in one bedroom, which in conjunction with a fan did a reasonable job of keeping the house cool on a very hot day. The kitchen is fine for light cooking.

An absolutely beautiful house, situated in the Douro Valley. Incredibly peaceful location up in the hills. The house is very tastefully decorated and well equipped. The pool is lovely and was definitely needed as the weather was glorious. Lovely patio area to sit and enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Very responsive hosts - just a wonderful week away in Portugal!

Spacious, comfortable house with nice outdoor space, very nice shaded terrace. Good location for visiting Porto and the Douro Valley. "Méandro" restaurant next door, cheap, excellent with stunning views of the Douro. Graça and her husband are welcoming and responsive. Only downside, the presence of dogs barking++ ( kennel?). Graça has nothing to do with it, but noise pollution to report.

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

This place was amazing, way bigger than it looks in the photos, with everything we needed and incredible views. The host was super helpful and easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend and stay again if I get the chance!

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

The house is perfect, very beautiful, everything was impeccable, it has several household items, the bed is comfortable, the pool is excellent, it has an outdoor kitchen that makes all the difference, they were wonderful days, Mr. Arcilio and Daniela are amazing people, my family felt at home, the best house we've ever stayed in, we'll be back for sure.

It was the most wonderful experience. I had a great rest, everything is good in this place. Large well-kept territory, lots of activities for children (trampoline, swings, balls, rackets, veloiball net), bicycles for adults, swimming pool, sun loungers. Very quiet, calm, self-check-in. The house has everything you need, very cozy and thought out. It's 1000 out of 100. The only bad thing is that you want to come back here again and again, but all the dates are already booked :)

We had a lovely stay, super hosts and very peaceful area. We loved the saltwater pool and although we were a little worried about sharing with neighbours, it was all fine! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

Maybe not for everyone but us we experienced the house and surroundings as a little paradise. The house has character and the whole lot around it is beautiful. It is quiet and has lots of space. The pool is real pool, and not an enlarged sort of bath tub. A beautiful view is included. The house is well equipped, everything worked well. The shoreline is a 40+ minute drive and worthwhile visiting. One can walk kilometers on the wooden board walk or bike along. Even to Porto along the shore which is really not far away. It passes Afurada………… you may want to plan a stop there for excellent sea food at a very reasonable price Hiking trails are in the area. Do some smart shopping for groceries and the like at a supermarket, we did not find anything close by. Maybe a minus for some, if you like to go out and enjoy night life nearby, that is a no-go.

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. Amazing place. We've spent a month there and everything was perfect. Nuno is very helpful and a friendly host. The place itself was above all of our expectations: fantastic view, super clean and comfortable. Felt right like home.

Gustavo was incredibly friendly and proactive throughout my stay. The cabin and its surroundings were exactly as described in the listing—peaceful, clean, and well-maintained. Everything was spotless and ready when I arrived. Definitely great value for the money. Highly recommend!

The whole place is amazing, very quiet and peaceful, good for a nice vacation or a quick getaway! The property is well maintained and there’s a lot of different things to do inside. The host is very nice and really helpful, it was great and we are happy to come back again!

Gorgeous apartment and perfectly located to be your base for exploring the city. It was an amazing experience overall and I would definitely stay there again!

The apartment is a delight from the moment you walk in. It is beautifully decorated and feels like a home. Great bathroom with amazing rain shower and hot water. Bedroom and kitchen and living areas are all well presented and equipped with all you need and with lots of additional touches. Very quiet for sleeping, and great air conditioning in bedroom and living area. Great location to explore Porto, and don’t even have to walk very far at all, including a great cafe next door, to find lovely eating places. Pedro was a wonderful host in every way.

We had a lovely week at the house and the surrounding nature. The house was beautifully located, well equipped and clean! Although we had very rainy weather during our stay, we still enjoyed beautiful hikes and the house offered a cosy refuge for us. Simply fantastic! We had an amazing stay at Rui and Marisa's house. Everything was impeccably clean, well cared for and with a decor full of good taste and attention to detail. We felt at home from the very first moment. We loved the jacuzzi and, of course, the fireplace area, which made the nights even more special. Everything was designed to provide comfort and memorable moments. You can see the affection with which everything was prepared! We recommend it 100% and hope to return in the future. A genuinely perfect holiday home. Stunning location, wonderful pool, amazing to have a grass 5-a-side football pitch for the kids. Host was helpful, flexible and kind.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a hidden paradise. The place is absolutely stunning: remote, peaceful, and breathtakingly beautiful. The house itself is very cosy and comfortable, with a spacious bed, a fully equipped kitchen, and a great outdoor barbecue that worked perfectly for us. However, the real charm is in the outdoor areas. Not only did we have a waterfall right at the doorstep, we were also able to enjoy a natural pool just for ourselves. The sound of the water, the refreshing swims in the river, the clean air... it all created a sense of peace that’s hard to put into words. Truly revitalizing. Alex was the perfect host: kind, helpful, and communicative, while also giving us complete privacy and space to enjoy. Super easy to talk to and made everything smooth from start to finish. Trust me, this one is a real gem. We already can't wait to come back!
