Design is a mix of beach cottage with contemporary accents. 2 Blocks to beautiful Ocean Avenue to watch gorgeous California sunsets or walk to beach. 2 Blocks to Montana Avenue shopping and cafes. Close to Promenade and Metrolink. Unbeatable Location ! Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The bungalow is a separate guesthouse but owners are present on the property in the main house. Outside table with a bench and chairs are perfectly located for morning coffee lunch or evening cocktail. We live in the front house so feel free to reach out to us with any questions and/or concerns regarding your stay. Leave the car behind - the beach, restaurants, cafes, and shops, are all an easy walk away. Rent a bike nearby to explore further. Watch the sunset over the water from Ocean Avenue, 2 blocks away, while Metrolink and Promenade are also close. This was a very safe and secure entryway to a completely separate unit. Wonderfully landscaped garden. Very private and quiet. The bathroom was up to date and modern, as was the kitchen area. Having a coffee press and coffee was a big plus the next morning after checking in late at night. The bed and pillows were comfortable and firm, towels clean, newish and adequate. Parking on the street was easy. Thank you, John, we had a nice stay!

This space is perfect and in a beautiful building north of Wilshire, in a peaceful pocket of Santa Monica. Having frequented the heart of downtown SM many times, this location is my new favorite — walkable, safe, and friendly. The building is historic and stunning, with a lovely courtyard, lobby, and library with seating areas. Check-in was a breeze, and there are late-night managers on duty/security which made me feel safe as a solo traveler, especially when getting home after an evening out. Towels are plush and clean, bed was very comfortable, and the ceiling fans do a great job so I didn’t miss the fact that there’s no AC! It’s worth noting that the windows of this space face a row of other units and a walkway with a good deal of foot traffic, meaning shades need to be kept closed for any privacy since it is ground floor. If you’re like me and spend your time out enjoying the city, this isn’t an issue! Kitchen was spotless with great appliances. Fantastic stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at Darryl’s place! If you love the ocean like we do - this is definitely the place for you! Wake up and fall asleep to the sound of the waves, it has a beautiful, private patio, a beach we have enjoyed during the day and multiple restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Darryl is a fantastic host! He was very accommodating, communicative, gave us recommendations and left us a bottle of wine, bottles of water and snacks! We loved Darryl’s place and highly recommend it! We’ll be back again!

Our stay at Geoff and Sarah’s yurt was amazing! The location was relaxing and quiet; Outdoor spaces very pleasant and inviting! (Kristin especially loved driving the road from the highway up to the property, and sharing music together one afternoon!! Our hosts were friendly, welcoming, and respectful. We will definitely be back on our next trip!
