This cabin is located off the beaten path, close to fishing ponds and rivers. To get to the property, it is best to have an SUV or Truck to ensure you cross the few creeks along the way but you are able to drive through with a car most of the time. We do provide Wifi and games at the property and a hot tub on the porch. Dog friendly.

At the edge of the Ozarks in the heart of green country is a small cottage located on a beautiful one acre spring feed pond. You can see the spring gushing out of the hillside. Our cottage is small, cozy, and very relaxing. Whether you are kicking back watching the tube or paddling around the pond you will feel right at home and may not want to leave. The Highland Hideaway is a perfect place for the whole family to relax and enjoy. A small herd of Highland cows live here. A wet-weather creek is just behind the house, with a rock bluff and fire pit. There is a foos ball table and massage chair for your enjoyment after a day of hiking. The Hideaway is located 3 miles from Carver Landing. You'll be within easy access to SO MANY gorgeous places, including the national park. There is a second home on the property that can also be booked.

Glamping at its finest! Forest Garden Yurts are wooden yurts designed and built by Bill Coperthwaite in the 1970s for Tom Hess and Lory Brown as home and pottery studio. Tucked away in 4 acres of Ozark forest, the yurts are simple in nature yet abound with artistic details. The home yurt has a kitchen, bedroom, and a nook living room. The bathroom yurt is separate but has a covered walk. Unconventional and unique, with hobbit hole doors and low clearances in places.

It is just 10 short miles from Springfield, MO (Buc-ee’s and Bass Pro) less than an hour from Branson, MO. On-site activities are numerous and include bicycling, trail hiking, utv trail riding, kayaking, fishing, hot tubbing, and swimming in your own personal paradise. The river access is a short but fun two minute utv drive from the cabin.
