Vacation rentals with lake access in Ouder-Amstel

We were so lucky to be able to stay in such a beautiful place! The beds were comfy, the surroundings were peaceful and beautiful... it was a lovely escape from the busy, city-center. We LOVED the use of the kitchen and the deck just off the kitchen. Hein was so good to have bikes available for us. There is little available directly near the home but a 10 minute bike ride along the lovely road and over the bridge gets you to all you could want. We were sad to leave our Amsterdam home and will hope Hein's home is available when we return.

The house was peaceful, cozy, and full of character, it truly made our trip special!

The place is close to the bus stop that takes you into a larger city where you can take the metro into Amsterdam. She had bikes available so everything went super easy. The place is perfect, everything is completely newly renovated, and it's wonderfully quiet. I would totally recommend this Airbnb to anyone who wants to get in and see Amsterdam, but still have a quiet apartment outside Amsterdam's many visitors

The accommodation is bright, spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. It is located in a residential and quiet area, facing a small children's playground (with a ping pong table). A beautiful terrace (with 3 rabbits) overlooks a canal that still brings a bucolic and warm touch to the house that is not lacking... All close to a metro (15 minutes walk) driving in 10 minutes to Amsterdam; extra stop very well connected! Stéphanie is more welcoming, helpful and responsive. We are really delighted with this choice of accommodation which had all the qualities we were looking for! We had a lovely stay there!

We had a lovely stay at Karin's place! I highly recommend this atypical experience of living on an island with the boat provided as the only means of access. Exchanges with our host were fluid and easy. We were able to enjoy a barbecue with sunset by the water from the first night. The location of the accommodation makes it easy to discover Amsterdam and its surroundings over 3 days while enjoying the tranquility of the island morning and evening. We would have liked to have stayed longer but time was short, we will be back for sure!

Great and very clean place with wonderful and accommodating hosts. The house is well equipped and is located in quiet surroundings with the best public transport connection to ArenA, Ziggo Dome and Amsterdam center. Thank you so much! We checked in late evening and Ilam was there to show us around plus make us feel instantly welcome and at home. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well kitted out with all that we needed to make it feel like home from home. There is a really comfy bed and great shower plus the kitchen is equipped with all that we needed to be self catering. We found the nearby supermarket very well stocked and adequately catered for our Vegan requirements. Our hosts were very thoughtful too with some lovely welcoming touches to make our stay feel extra special , thank you both so much for the cold beers and bottle of wine which we enjoyed whilst sitting in the pretty and private outdoor space which overlooked a Japanese garden and fields beyond that. The apartment is in a beautifully quiet and leafy neighbourhood with some lovely countryside walks locally yet within easy reach of Amsterdam and other tourist locations via a nearby bus link. Thank you both so much for a memorable stay.

We had a very good time at Mike's place. The surroundings are very beautiful and the house is very enjoyable too. The weather was on our side so we were lucky enough to be able to enjoy the pool and to swim in the river Amstel and to use her pebble board too. Staying there with kids allowed them to use the trampoline daily and to play in the garden. There is nothing (town, shops) at walking distance so for that you need to take the car but the view and beautiful landscape you get just by looking outside the windows when you wake up is worthwhile!
