This place is exceptional- huge and beautiful home, pristine, gorgeous inside and out. The pool and terraces are really special, the sea view is beautiful. The hosts were so friendly, efficient and helpful, the guards always there and really helpful. The housekeepers did an excellent job and were really amiable. This is a great location to explore Dakar and its surroundings - out of the city centre but easy enough to get in, and the motorway is a 5 minute drive. Somone lagoon is a must-see. Thank you so much for a wonderful base for our holiday.

An excellent stay in Virage! The accommodation is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen is spotless. The host even remotely, Fatou, is responsive, concerned and caring, making the experience even more enjoyable. Very flexible and accommodating for check-in (at night for us) and checkout. The caretakers are efficient and security is at the rendezvous. I would highly recommend it!

A just perfect stay! Marieme welcomed us with rare warmth and kindness. She went above and beyond to make us feel at ease, and it was a real joy from start to finish. The accommodation is spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean — impeccable bedding, nothing is missing! It feels like home. Special mention for the family atmosphere: our children were lucky enough to play with theirs, a real plus that made our experience even warmer. And what about Fatou's THIEB… an absolute delight! A real Airbnb favorite that we recommend with your eyes closed. Thanks again Marieme!

We were very happy with our stay with Sylvie and Max. The place was lovely and spacious and the rooftop terrace is great. The kittens they had were an added bonus. Max and Sylvie were super friendly and helpful; communication was easy. We would definitely stay here again!

I expected that my first trip to West Africa would feel like home, but still found myself blown away by the level of hospitality extended by Massiga and his family. Extremely happy that we chose to include his stay in the first leg of our trip- it felt as if we were being welcomed to a new place by an old friend. Beyond the beauty and warmth provided by the residence itself, Massiga is an excellent representation of the terenga that is core to the Senegalese people. In addition to answering all of our questions about our travels throughout Dakar and neighboring cities, Massiga provided much insight into his experiences living, teaching, and raising a family in Senegal. Our brief stay really helped shape our understanding of Senegalese culture for the remainder of our trip. Come prepared to Jam if you’re musically inclined. An amazing experience all around. Looking forward to our next stay with our new friend Massiga

I really enjoyed my stay at Francisca's. The property is in a quiet location. I no longer heard the usual traffic noise in Dakar, but instead the gentle rustling of the trees and leaves in the wind. The value of this tranquility is upheld by Francisca. I really appreciated the terrace next to the garden, where I could concentrate on reading a book or enjoying my breakfast. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (thus 3 times a week) a housekeeper always came by and cleaned the apartment, the kitchen, the bathroom, my room as well as the outside area. I appreciated this service very much, especially since there are quickly fine sand deposits in Dakar. For a small fee, my clothes were also washed. The house is protected by a high wall, so I could safely park my private bicycle in the outdoor area/garden. Another plus was the cat Gato :) I can therefore highly recommend the apartment! :-)

The place is special. It is located in the courtyard of an old villa with an incredible number of plants. It is a small green oasis in lively Dakar and has its own access. You can feel the charm of bygone times. From there, many museums and some markets can be explored on foot. Even in the evening you can walk to the restaurant without problems. Laurence, the grande dame of the house, is the good soul, helpful and generous. She also speaks English, which was worth its weight in gold for our modest French skills. We'll be back. Ute + Franz

All this within the frame of her beautiful house, in a quiet neighborhood of Dakar, and a magical view on the baobab. Tareian's hospitality is truly unmatched. Not only was I thrilled to stay in her lovely home, but I also feel fortunate to have met and spent time with her. Having stayed in many Airbnbs, including several in Dakar, the ease and comfort I experienced at Tareian's place were truly exceptional. She is warm, fun, witty, stylish, and doing incredible work in Senegal. I would wholeheartedly recommend her apartment to friends and family visiting Dakar. I hope to see her again soon!

Ngor Island is a little paradise. The house's environment is beautiful! Ocean views, sleep to the sound of the waves. I enjoyed my stay even more after the few days spent in Dakar just before. Shower with bucket of water, Turkish toilet and kitchen available if necessary. It suited me very well because I was not looking for comfort or luxury but it might bother some people. The house has beautiful energy. Maam and her family are currently away and have been for several months. You will be welcomed by Moustapha, who was welcoming, explained his culture to me, gave me advice. I would definitely stay again if time permits before I return. Thanks Moustapha 🙏

I stayed at Loman with my husband and 5 year old. From the very start the team have been so helpful, from arranging the sofa to be made into a sofa bed for our child, helping us to book ferry tickets in advance and helping us with a 2am check-in. Breakfast was a delight, lots if bread, fruit salad and yorhury and coffee. The rooftop terrace was a welcome additional space. The pool was cold, but a welcome addition to the hotel as my child was very excited to get in. It is very easy to catch a taxi to other parts of the city from outside the Loman Art, only 15 mins to the Almadies area and about 30mins into the centre of town/the port. It was great to stay in such a creative space, all the staff were very helpful. I would definitely recommend Loman art to friends and family if they were coming to stay in Dakar. thanks for a lovely introduction to Senegal.

This stay was great! One of the most beautiful homes in Senegal and very close to the beach. The room was very stylish and the breakfast was amazing, truly a 10/10 and would 100% stay again!

Our stay at the Bed and Breakfast Pied dans l'eau was very nice. The equipment was very good and the staff were very nice and helpful. The terrace is just above the beach, the rooms have sea views and you fall asleep to the sound of the sea. Great. Especially the pool gave the children a lot of joy and we were able to enjoy breakfast by the sea. Too bad the extension days were more expensive than the original price.

Very good communication with Pierre and Astou, I easily found the accommodation when I arrived in Dakar thanks to their instructions. Quite strategic location not far from the corniche by car (10 min) and the African Renaissance Monument. Good breakfast.
