Fantastic cabin in the woods just outside Oslo! Here you can enjoy both the big city and the calm of the forest. NOTE - This is a classic, authentic Norwegian cabin without electricity and with an outhouse! Very cozy, but not for everyone 😅. The cabin is lovely with a large kitchen, living room, two bedrooms with bunk beds and a dormitory. You must bring your own bed linen, etc., and the cabin must be cleaned and swept before departure. Water is available, but bring your own drinking water. You can drive up to 50 meters from the cabin, but be aware of the steep road!

To Varingskollen Alpine Center it is 20 minutes by train the other way. Nordmarka's hiking trails and cycling routes start at the doorstep. The host lives nearby and is available. The house has 20 sqm floor area, but is effectively utilized with loft, large ceiling height and good window surfaces. The terrace is south facing and sunny.

Brønnøya is located 30 min from Oslo by bus, there is also a cozy ferry from Sandvika and out to Østre-Brygge which is located 150 meters from the house. Parking space on Nesøya is included. Very good rooms inside and outside, with nice views of the lake. The house is located on a car-free island, where it is possible to go on long undisturbed walks. If desired, a safe and good boat can be included, at a nice price.

This is a small red-painted cottage in a cozy garden with various fruit trees, lots of jasmine bushes, lilacs and summer flowers. The place is suitable for a small family with one or two children, or for a couple or single who wants a quiet holiday by the lake, but with a short distance to Oslo. It is only about 150 m to the lake in Ursvikbukta. You can swim from the jetty in Ursvikbukta or from the child-friendly beach in about 10 - 15 min walking distance at both Hellviktangen and Hellvikstrand.

If you work in Asker, Bærum or Oslo, it is a nice opportunity to commute to work from the cabin. It is about 15 minutes to walk to the cabin from the cable ferry from Nesøya. In winter, there is a floating bridge over the strait.
