Absolutely wonderful stay in a really comfortable flat. Hazel and John were very attentive hosts, and extremely responsive to messages. The flat itself was really comfortably kitted out, with plenty of hot water and high pressure showers/baths, a decently stocked kitchen for self-catering equipment, comfortable beds and pillows (a must!) and a great central location. Only tiny adjustment would have been a decently bright reading light in the living room area, as while the lighting was very comfortably ambient for relaxing it didn’t allow for late-night reading. Overall a truly wonderful stay! Thank you!

This is an outstanding accomodation option for a quiet, comfortable and convenient stay in Kirkwall to explore the Orkney Islands from. A home away from home!! Clean, tidy and hosts were so helpful being more than willing to help with any queries at any time. Walking distance to town, peaceful and a beautifully kept garden to enjoy. Louise made us feel right at home with breakfast goodies for our first morning and lots of attention to detail. The apartment was beautifully set out, comfortable and very clean. It was well stocked and infact was the first place in 8 weeks that we cooked a meal because it was so well set up. The beds were very comfortable and the shower pressure was terrific. Location was excellent, only 15min from the ferry and from Kirkwall, but very peaceful. We loved it. Thank you Louise and Victor.

We cannot recommend the Ticketyboo apartment highly enough. It's modern, well-equipped, very comfortable, perfectly placed within Kirkwall - near the waterfront and High Street - and close to the bus station where there are regular buses to everywhere on Orkney Mainland.

Perfect location - close to lots of the places we wanted to visit…..Birsay , Marwick Head , The Loons Nature Reserve. Robert was very amenable in terms of check in and check out time and was very helpful in notifying us of wildlife sightings . The apartment was great - well equipped , very modern and very comfortable. I highly recommend Robert’s place .

Lovely location right where the action is. Kitchenette was functional and we were able to do some cooking. Bedroom had a window which was bright but Tara was quick to get it taped up so that the room was nice and dark for sleep (really bright in summer!). Very helpful in helping us get last min car rental too. Thanks for a very memorable stay in the Orkneys!

Central but quiet, lovely cosy wee place. Decent parking was tricky to find maybe add it into welcome pack but she was amazing when we locked ourselves out with keys and my phone in flat!

We stayed in the Loft. It was fantastic and cozy fireplace, full kitchen and comfy beds. There is a sweet cat on site always looking for a head scratch and just down the road is a standing stone, sandy (I’ll be it cold lol) beach, and ruins just behind the church. Stunning location and amazing owners. They really care about what they do and are quick with support and enthusiasm for the area. Would happily book this place again and again.

Great place to stay!! House is immaculate, well furnished, comfortable and we felt right at home. Great view from the landing window! Fab location for walking into Kirkwall town centre and also central if you're planning touring about the island in the car. I will be visiting Orkney again without doubt and I would definitely stay here again. Fab!!

Situated in the heart of the picturesque port of Stromness, the Studio combines convenience for shops and restaurants with a tranquil ambiance. It provides a perfect base for exploring the stunning Orkney landscape and its amazing archaeological sites. Comfortable, very cosy and spotlessly clean, the Sudio is well equipped and we appreciated the display of local information and the well stocked bookcase, also the provision of some basic groceries for our arrival Àine was very friendly and welcoming, and available when needed. We would whole heartedly recommend this place as a perfect Orkney holiday location.

The apartment was well located and equipped for cooking. Everything was in order and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small, but it wasn’t a problem for us, and we were already aware of it from the description and photos.

Wonderfully light and comfortable accomodation in excellent position.Allocated parking was marvellous. Flat 8 on 3 floor which was good exercise after a meal out or a day walking on the island. Tesco superstore within 10 minutes walk . I highly recommend this accommodation .

Alexanders place is ideally situated for all the attractions mainland Orkney offers as well as ferries to Hoy and other islands. Stromness and Kirkwall are in easy reach by car.

A great place to stay, the apartment is very modern, clean and very warm. There is plenty of allocated parking and is close to all amenities. This is my second stay here and would book again for my next visit.

We had a fantastic stay, Alexander’s place had everything needed and was the perfect base for our exploration of everything Orkney had to offer. Alexander is a welcoming and friendly host, we would be happy to recommend Stromness apartments, thank you Alexander for a wonderful stay.

Easy to get to everywhere from here and lovely local dog walks just across the road. This place is wonderful for dogs, even a nice spot for their beds in the utility room. Bert greeted us with a wonderful platter of cheese and biscuits and lovely fresh flowers, so kind.

Lovely flat...Right in the middle of Kirkwall with everything within walking distance...5 out of 5 stars.

The apartment was of a really high standard. It was in a fantastic position in the middle of Kirkwall near the Cathedral and was very easy to find. There was parking on site. Tea, Coffee, milk, biscuits and a local newspaper were provided. This made us feel at home immediately. We had a couple of minor queries to which we received quick responses. I would thoroughly recommend this property to anybody looking to visit Orkney
