Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Onomichi

We stayed with two large dogs.The communication in advance and the explanation in the inn were polite, and the facilities and equipment were full of thoughtfulness, and we had a very pleasant time.The dog loved the steep slopes of the orchid!

Absolutely beautiful home! A true oasis with a huge yard to relax and enjoy the sunset. We loved staying in a historic Japanese style home - the architecture and light was incredible and all the thoughtful details and accessories throughout made for a very elevated experience. Also appreciated the huge TV we could connect to Netflix and watch from bed, and ability to cook our own meals in the kitchen or BBQ outside. All in all a lovely place to stay outside the bustle of Onomichi, but we did find it challenging trying to get a cab to pick us up on the Didi app and had to walk back into town to catch our train.

We stayed with five people, but this time we stayed for two nights, so we could use the dock run during the day, and the dogs and children were delighted. It was quite cold because it snowed, but it was beautiful to watch the snow falling in while taking a wood-burning bath. Even if I burned the wood, the temperature didn't go up because it was too cold outside, and I didn't know how to raise the temperature, so the last time I took a bath, it was warm and cold... I managed to warm up my body with the electric blanket I brought with me. There was almost no negative temperature in the local area, and it was a temperature that I could say as my first experience, so I had a good experience. My partner was lamenting that the electric carpet was out and it was cold, but I brought a portable power source with me, so I slept warmly with my own electric blanket, so it was very comfortable. Drying is terrible. I thought I should have brought a humidifier. Summer in summer In the winter, there were many good places in winter, and I enjoyed it. I tried to smoked the chicken this time, but the tension was very high and it was very delicious. Honestly, two nights won't be enough. It's a place you want to stay longer. Not far away, there is a supermarket and home center, so it's good to go shopping right away.

This is a great traditional Japanese House. It is close to the train and the buses. Yoshiharu is a great host. There was great tourist guides and instructions for the house. The bullet train is close to the property, but we had no issues with the noise. We had a great stay and would highly recommend. Thanks

Great location, clean place. Note that there are no beds, only futons that were hard for us Westerners. Also thought it was odd to have to rent towels, at that price it could be included. The kitchen equipment was very limited.

My dog and I had a wonderful stay! Our host was incredibly kind and met me at check in for a little tour of the place and to give some local recommendations. The view from the house is gorgeous and super convenient, as I brought my paddleboard and was able to SUP right out front. You're super close to a great little hiking trail to an overlook of all the islands and a few minutes drive from restaurants, though there is a BBQ at the house if you'd rather eat at home. I plan on coming back for a longer stay next time! One more thing to add - the host kindly offered to take some photos of my dog and I paddleboarding so I could leave with some memories. He and his neighbor were on the beach in the morning while I was out. You're getting more than the house with this stay. He's a gem.

Staying at this traditional Japanese house was an unforgettable experience. The home is full of charm, beautifully set up with thoughtful touches that made it both authentic and comfortable. The peaceful garden, tatami mats, and wooden architecture created such a serene atmosphere. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed. Having coffee in the morning at Diane's place looking at the mountains on one side and the gorgeous Seto Sea on the other was worth the trip to Omishima all on its own! I highly recommend this special place for anyone wanting a true Japanese stay in a beautiful setting!
