Vacation rentals with lake access in Oneida County

This adorable little cottage is perched right on the Wisconsin River (perfect for nature watching.) It's very well appointed, with fully stocked kitchen, bath, and comfy throws and pillows. There was even a little welcome snack when we arrived. And while the residence feels perfectly secluded, it is just a short walk to plenty of amenities including the cute historical downtown area.

Beautiful home, beautiful area! I will definitely be staying there when I work in Tomahawk again...maybe a couple extra days to enjoy the area. Loved it!

Absolutely beautiful place. We loved all the wood and the cabin feel with all the touches. The rooms were comfy and there were so many amenities. WiFi worked amazing. Georgous views and great walking for my dog. I loved having black out curtains in the bedrooms, nice touch. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back.

A beautiful home in a private location. Set just steps away from Skunk Lake, it was the perfect getaway for us and our dog. The perfect way to bring in the new year.

This is the third time we’ve stayed in this home, and each time is a wonderful experience. The house is beautiful, the accommodations are great and the view in the morning is incredible. Shane was extremely responsive and helpful. We’ll be booking again!

This is a beautiful place. We arrived right after an ice storm had hit the area, and the ice on the trees on the meditation trail were beautiful! The house and property are the perfect place for reflection and solitude. We spent some time on the dock, just absorbing the peace of the frozen lake. We are planning to come back in warmer weather to paddleboard and kayak. Mutt is a great host, and was available to answer questions, and his binder of info was very helpful as well. Thank you Mutt for providing us a much needed respite after a difficult few months!

We could not have been happier with our decision to stay at Little Red! Sue is a phenomenal host; whether it was accommodating our unexpected early arrival or sharing the secret behind the fresh scent of her linens, Sue went above and beyond when it came to taking care of our needs. The property itself is also worthy of praise. Little Red is located on an accessible road, making it easy to come and go year round. This makes it easy to enjoy the local attractions, especially with Sue’s detailed recommendations left on-site. Summertime visitors will love the convenient access to the lake as well as the amenities Sue provides, such as fishing equipment and water toys to explore the lake. Winter visitors will also appreciate features like a wood stove and plenty of wood. It is not an easy task to make someone feel at home while on vacation, but Little Red truly felt like our home away from home during our stay, and we are already considering a return visit in the fall. Last minute we were able to book the house for a quick one-night stay while working in the area. Everything went smoothly and would recommend to family and friends. We even had a chance to play some pool.

Great place! It’s small but was perfect for my husband and I. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well kept. How wonderful kayaks were available to use. We enjoyed using them on this beautiful lake. The lake is so crystal clear. And location was perfect. We were able to get around so easily. We only stayed 3 nights. We definitely will be back and will stay longer.

The cabin was neat and tidy! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the lake. Heard loons each morning and night, saw an eagle and the water was crystal clear. Would love to come here again.

Beautiful, quiet place to get away from the city. We went kayaking, had a bonfire, watched movies, visited a friendly local bar, had large amounts of ice cream and visited Minocqua. We saw a bald eagle in a tree above their dock by the water!

This Airbnb was exactly like the pictures and was absolutely beautiful! Every detail was thought of, the decor was a perfect cross between log cabin and modern, the beds were super comfy also! The location couldn’t be better. We walked downtown and did some shopping and bar hopping and we never needed to drive anywhere! David and Amy are fantastic hosts and we will 100% stay here again.

David and Amy’s place was exactly as advertised. They were very responsive and proactive. It was nice of them to reach out the morning after check-in to make sure everything went smoothly. I would definitely recommend their place to others looking to stay in the area.

Amy's stay was wonderful! The place looked exactly like the picture. Location was wonderful in the heart of downtown and very walkable to shops, restaurants, and more. Amy's instructions to get in and out were clear and simple. Lastly, she put in a very personal touch with checking in on our stay, which was appreciated. You won't go wrong with this stay!

We were looking for a place to take the kids for an ice fishing trip, the lake did not disappoint! Greg was very helpful giving us info on ice conditions, weather, fun things to do with kids, and local places to try! He was super flexible on check in, which helped our young family. The place was very clean! The view from the windows felt like we were in the tree house. We hope to come back!!! THANK YOU!

We stayed at Reese’s place for a long weekend getaway. This place is hands down the best place to stay at. It’s a really nice cottage, clean comfortable, and well equipped. We also brought our boat up for the weekend to go fishing, which this cottage had a dock to easily access your boat. We had a fantastic weekend up north and will definitely be coming back in the future!

Kathy’s place is perfect for a north woods getaway. We snowmobiled, and even though there is no trail at the end of the driveway, there is a public boat launch that provides access to the chain of lakes just a couple of houses over and easy to get to. The place has everything you need and just the right amount of tucked away but still close to town. Kathy is nearby and willing to help with anything that comes up. 10/10

If you're looking for large, sleek and modern, this is not for you. But if you want a cozy, comfy, quintessentially vintage cabin this little honey is it! Take a step back in time and appreciate how lovingly this (former) hunting cabin has been preserved. Everywhere you look you'll be treated to authenticity and sweet surprises. We loved it! AND our host made everything easy!

The place was clean and comfortable, great location the guest and I really enjoyed staying here!

Came up for a birthday trip and had an amazing time! The house was very spacious, had a great kitchen for all the cooking we did, a nice large dining table which was good for playing card games, and a cozy basement for watching a movie at the end of the day. The gym space was wonderful and fit all 6 of us to do some stretching! The dock on the lake was nice to chill out on and the views were absolutely beautiful! 100/10 would love to come back :)

The cabin was very charming! Had everything my husband and I needed for our northwoods weekend. Quiet location but very close to area businesses and highways. Wonderful lake views, ample places to sit outside to take in the view.
