Absolutely beautiful place with a gorgeous view of the river. The house is one of those places that makes you feel instantly at home. Sally is an epic host, super responsive and kind.

Stayed for 2 nights and it was amazing, great location and neighborhood. Extremely well furnished, comfy towels and bed. I will definitely consider staying here again. Check-in was a breeze.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and well-equipped property. The house was spotless, cozy, and perfectly located—close to town yet peaceful with stunning views. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the outdoor area was great for relaxing. One highlight was the spa pool—a great addition to the property. However, the water felt a bit over-chlorinated, which meant we couldn’t stay in for more than 10 minutes at a time. That’s just a small detail in an otherwise perfect stay, and I’m sure it’s something that can be easily adjusted. Overall, we highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ohakune. It’s a wonderful spot, and we would happily return in the future!

What a fantastic place! We had the Easter long weekend here and had a lovely time. Place was perfect with great views of the lake, well kitted out and clean. The owners were extremely communicative. Would book here in a flash!

Second visit to this little cabin. It’s perfect for a couple of days away with our elderly German Shepherds. Fully fenced year and enough room for them to lay out on the grass or deck.

The house was spacious and comfortable. Everything worked and was easy to use. Would definitely consider staying here again.

What a wonderful lake hideaway. A peaceful spot within walking distance to the charming Kinloch village. A well organised home away from home with everything you need - and so much room to just relax and unwind. We particularly loved the spacious upstairs loft area, the amazingly soft bed sheets and the peace and quiet. Thank you so much for accomodating us and for your friendly, prompt communications. This place was really good for us, clean, very spacious, well equipped and just comfortable. Sue was quick to reply and gave clear instructions. Absolutely loved this place! Wished we stayed longer. Beautiful place with an outstanding view. The place is spotless and you will find everything you need. The bed and linen is very comfortable. If you have mobility restrictions this place might not be for you as you need to walk down a few steps with your luggage. Otherwise this is a dream!

We booked this accommodation the night before. The place felt like home. Amazing views, unfortunately because of the horrible weather there was a lot of fog but we’re already planning to go back. Would recommend this place for a family or just a getaway for a group of friends. This place would be perfect for 4 people. The place is part of a gated community so we felt safe as well. Parking and checking in was easy. 10/10 recommend!

I thought it was a room under the hosts house however it turned out to be a lovely stand alone unit nicely decorated comfortable bed practical kitchen and lounge with lots of sun nice view of the lake and very peaceful I would highly recommend a stay at Irene's if you are in Taupo. It's a couple of minutes drive to the local dairy Bar and restaurant with nice food. And only about 5 or 6 minutes drive to the town centre

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home ….. our hosts Marki and Chris were just wonderful and everything about the space and the surroundings was top notch. The furnishings, decor, attention to detail, lovely treats and overall vibe of the home was very special …. Walking distance to the most beautiful little bay, surrounded by nature was awesome. Would thoroughly recommend!!!

We loved our 12 day stay and didn't want to leave. Spacious rooms, high ceilings, heated bathroom floors, adequate kitchen, bifold doors opening into lovely private courtyard gardens and then there is the panoramic view of the lake. Oh and the delux spa!! What a treat. Luxurious accomodation. Value plus! We will be back.

A wonderful place to stay. The apartment was very nice and had everything we needed for a comfortable 2 night stay. Rick was amazing to deal with and very quick and clear communication. We'll definitely return soon.
