Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.

Casa Augusta is a one bedroom house that can accommodate from two up to four people (upon request), with everything you need to have fun. This lodging is pet friendly, fit for those who never leave their furry friends behind. The kitchen is fully equipped, from microwave to washing machine so that you can explore the surroundings with no concerns. With wifi and TV for the downtime, bathroom with shower and a sofa bed. The location is super calm.

This house has 2 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a refrigerator and coffee machine, and 3 bathrooms with a bidet and shower.
