The Hensal - South

MikeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Beautiful home, very private, less than 5 minutes from the beach (walk one block), and the beach itself feels almost private -- no crowds, barely anyone when we were there. If you are looking for a 5-star luxury hotel, this isn't it. But if you are looking for privacy, relaxation, and enough room to fit a family or a group of friends then Marsha's home could be just what you want. Jolly beach (and its supermarket and restaurants) is 15 minutes away by car. English Harbour is about 40 minutes away. Definitely rent a car (you can park in the gated driveway). Side note here -- driving in Antigua can be a bit annoying: roads are narrow, no shoulders, no markings, and full of potholes, so stay sharp. Drivers are super nice, however, and will always move to let you pass. Back to the house, you have everything there that you actually need. Sheryl was very prompt and super helpful with all the questions we had!

Orchid Apartment with pool

So Neem View Apartments are in a fantastic location near English Harbor. So much to see and do there. Lots of great restaurants close by. We felt very safe in the gated community. The staff were very helpful especially Collette. We were welcomed with a hug and a beautiful smile. We had one of the best holidays ever. This was a perfect base to explore Antigua. Sitting on the balcony at nighttime looking at the boats all lit up was so relaxing. We highly recommend Neem View Apartments.

Peaceful nature escape

AndreasRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a wonderful time in Andrews Sugar Cottage. It is very nice cottage in a calm setting surrounded by a green garden and jungle sounds. We didnt meet him or his assistant in person but the communication and service was flawless - we were even greeted with a fruit basket and a starter pack, thanks! We enjoyed the big terrace a lot and are already looking back to evenings just waiting for the sun to go down and listening to the island sounds. There is also the lovely house dog Mango - very friendly and attentive. There are also other dogs in this area so there is some barking going on during the day. Be aware of the mosquitos and get used to carry the provided mosquito bats along. You will also need a car to get to all the beaches, restaurants and sights. We highly recommend the cottage for people who want to stay away from the big resorts and feel more like a local. We loved it and would definitely book again. Thanks Andrew and Mowava for this unique stay!

Cammile's Holiday Apartments 4

RichieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Cammile’s place. From the moment I arrived, she was warm, welcoming, and always accessible. There was even a moment when I thought I misplaced my key late at night, and she responded quickly and calmly, which I truly appreciated as a first-time Airbnb guest. The location is one of the biggest highlights, it’s right in the centre of the island, so getting around was a breeze. Most places I wanted to visit were only about a 30-minute drive away, which made exploring super convenient. The space itself was clean, quiet, and peaceful, with no disturbance from neighbors. Both Cammile and her daughter were respectful of my privacy, yet responsive whenever I reached out for assistance or information. The value for money was definitely there. I felt right at home. Thank you.

I enjoy this location. This was my son’s first time traveling to the island so it was a very good experience for us. We will definitely be back. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone.

Antigua Oceanna Oasis near Turners Beach house #2

StéphanieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
that place was lovely, however a tiny bit noisy in the morning as we are next to the fire and police stations so they start their trucks early. there are also roosters in the area ahaha. it's all about location location location, and it was fire! next to the best beaches in Antigua, close to some restaurants. I was happy to be there. I pet her dogs in the morning, parking was easy! thanks Oceanna!

Tropical Apartment 1-B

Marcelle TessaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Silvia is a friendly and responsive host. We were met with a lovely warm welcome. The apartment was as described, with plenty of place for two, and well equipped for our stay. The highlight of our stay had to be the most incredible views from the balcony where you could watch the sun setting every evening. No photos prepared us for that. Our experience of exploring the area - Epicurean supermarket, 20min walk well stocked and with a hot food counter as well. Sun Fusion the closest restaurant, had a local menu which was good, and we also enjoyed the ice cream selection they had. Valley Church Beach was approx a 10 min walk, Ffyes Beach 15 mins (our favourite in the area) and we did walk to Darkwood Beach 25 mins (but wouldn't recommend as it's a long walk in the heat and on a relatively busy road side. ) The local buses were easy and inexpensive to use, and we used them to get to St Johns. However if you wish to travel further, I would recommend hiring a rental car.
