Family-friendly vacation rentals in Old Orchard Beach

Caren and Jamie were amazing hosts. Their cottage is incredible, very comfy, and in a beautiful location. During the stay, I asked if they could extend the futon, and they were very happy to do so—they really went above and beyond to make it an amazing stay!

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful apartment. Michael was a fantastic host, very responsive, and made some great local recommendations. The apartment was very comfortable, spotless, and even had a bowl of fruit in the kitchen for guests. Michael went the extra mile which helped me feel right at home during my stay!

Michele and her husband were absolutely amazing! So incredibly kind and their home is on a beautiful piece of property. Situated in a remote area in between York and Ogunquit it was easy to get ANYWHERE! Michele was incredibly responsive with questions, recommendations, and just about anything you could need. I would HIGHLY recommend staying with them!

Our stay at Tall Pines was perfect in every way. The house is charming as are the hosts Judith and Tom. We gathered 5 dear friends to share good times and memories of our years knowing each other. We loved having miles of beach a short walk from the house and enjoyed meeting folks from the area. All in all - Tall Pines was a wonderful choice for us and we would love to return!!

It was great to be back at Velia’s place. We felt right at home. The house itself is beautiful and well maintained. The location can’t be beat. We can’t wait until our next stay!

We had a great visit, as we did some wedding planning for my daughter's wedding in the fall. Her future in-laws joined us and we got a lot accomplished and still had time to enjoy the beach. We had pretty significant snow overnight, and the area was cleared early and safely. Wendy was flexible and responded quickly. We would stay there again!

Petr and Kristi (and Luna!!🐈‍⬛) were so welcoming and friendly hosts. They were happy to share their local recommendations and even to just chat! The place was also very clean. Highly recommend this one! :)

We stayed at Rob and Nate's place while we visited Portland and the surrounding area over the long weekend. It was the perfect choice! They were great hosts. Their home was in a beautiful setting. From the back deck, we could look out onto beautiful gardens and a small pond. The home itself was lovely and cozy, spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities we needed. It was an easy drive to Portland and Sebago Lake. We would definitely recommend staying here!

This place had everything we needed. The view was spectacular! We really enjoyed seeing fireworks from the deck. The home was very clean, kitchen fully stocked. We loved hearing live music each day and night. So much walkable fun for the kids. We had a wonderful stay!

Christopher was a helpful host and his place was perfect! Clean, fully stocked, great location. It was close to lots of beaches and restaurants and the pool was great for the little ones

A nice private cottage in a quiet community that was super handy for us to stay until we secured our house in New England. Everything is in place for comfortable living. We lived there for a month long and the hosts were always responsible.

Maryann is SUCH a treasure! She really is the hostess with the mostest! Gives great recommendations, homemade coffee and treats, and if you mention you like something, she might get it for you! Making this Philly girl a wannabe Maine resident! Couldn’t recommend more.

The condo was better than the pictures. It was well equipped, the price vs the situation was really good. Spacious and private with great amenities. I would live to rent again next year.

Home is very expansive with room for multiple families to reside together. Lots of games and activities for all ages. Amazing location within minutes to airport and short drive to downtown

We absolutely loved our visit to Appledore Cottage! It was quaint and perfectly relaxing. The screened in porch was the best place to just sit…very quiet and peaceful!

This place is absolutely wonderful. Kathleen and John truly go above and beyond to make sure all of your needs are met and you feel right at home during your stay. We were greeted with warmth and comfort during our entire visit, and are already planning on staying with them again next time!

Cannot recommend Danni's place enough - super-cute and has everything you need! We loved it and would return in a heartbeat! One caveat as noted in other reviews (which we didn't initially see) - but there is a family living upstairs with young children, and while the walls are soundproofed well (we heard no conversation or crying for the most part) the pitter-patter of little feet at 5:30am was an earlier wake-up than we expected ;) So you will hear running around and thuds at toddler-active times, but we mostly laughed it off and it was a good reminder of how glad we are not to be at that stage of life anymore! Don't let it dissuade you from booking - great place for the price.

Fantastic location, beautifully kept space. It was cozy, homey, and was an absolute pleasure to stay so close to the beach! Sue and Bob met us to make sure our stay was nice and to see if we needed anything. They even left us a couple of Happy Birthday beers! We can't wait to come back and recommend staying here so highly!

We had the best weekend here! Paul was so responsive and helpful. We enjoyed having the option to go down to his brewery and hear the live music or just hang out at the yurt / by the campfire! It was a quick drive to Kennebunkport too. We would love to come back, it was awesome!

Kati’s house is a beautiful beach house and would be a dream in the summer. We came in December for Christmas Prelude so while we couldn’t enjoy the beach, the house was well equipped for the cold weather with a cozy electric fireplace and was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We were able to walk into town and back (about a mile, but there are sidewalks and streetlights, and it was easier and safer than driving). We felt right at home in the spacious and open living area. The master bedroom has a sliding door out to the back deck that doesn’t lock and was therefore quite cold, so we did not sleep in this room. Also, Kati stayed in the unit downstairs, so while we did not share any actual living spaces, we did share the overall property (not sure if this is always the case, or just happened to be while we were there). This did not disrupt our experience at all, though. Overall, we had a great stay.

Wonderful stay, the place was in a beautiful location, walkable to Wolfe’s Neck Farm where we love to walk. My husband and I were there the first few days, then our adult daughter joined us for two nights. The place is small (described accurately) but the three of us found it very workable. The king bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of outside patio space to lounge and soak up the sun when it was out. This was a work trip for us as we were getting a property in a nearby town ready for sale. We didn’t have time to use the provided kayaks but hope to in a future stay. The hosts very friendly and accommodating, highly recommended this property.

Very comfortable place with lots of character. Really nice neighborhood, just a ten to fifteen minute walk from the center of Portland and the old port area. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Portland!
