This is a private rental traditional Japanese house that the owner, “JP,” who loves DIY, renovated himself, envisioning an ideal living space, in a 150-year-old traditional house. Perhaps the greatest asset of this accommodation is its one-of-a-kind “egg sauna.” This is a completely DIY sauna, designed and built entirely by JP, with a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Indulge in a sauna experience you can only enjoy here, enveloped in the gentle warmth of the wood-burning stove. The room also has a traditional Japanese sunken hearth, typical of an old kominka house. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as enjoying a hot pot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own cooking utensils, such as ingredients and skewers. We aim to be an inn where travelers from overseas can stay with peace of mind. This is an entire house that retains the warmth of old-fashioned wood, and is arranged in a space where you can relax. We have spent two years in an old private house on a hill overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, we have renovated it with our own hands and operate it with a couple. The facilities are simple, and there is no service like a hotel or inn, but it is popular for those who want to relax in nature. It can accommodate up to 6 people and is recommended for groups and families. About 18 minutes on foot from Uno Station, 12 minutes on foot to the ferry terminal, it is ideal as a base for Naoshima and Setouchi Art Trips. It is a 10-minute walk to the Merca Shopping Mall and a 2-minute walk to the Family Mart Tamano Uno store. There is a contracted parking lot for one car 2 minutes on foot from the base of the mountain. Our inn is only on foot from the base of the mountain, and is located on a high ground about 60 meters up. You will have to climb a slightly steep road, but you will have a refreshing sense of accomplishment when you arrive, and you can spend a quiet time surrounded by nature.
