This is a private rental traditional Japanese house that the owner, “JP,” who loves DIY, renovated himself, envisioning an ideal living space, in a 150-year-old traditional house. Perhaps the greatest asset of this accommodation is its one-of-a-kind “egg sauna.” This is a completely DIY sauna, designed and built entirely by JP, with a unique shape that allows heat to circulate naturally.Indulge in a sauna experience you can only enjoy here, enveloped in the gentle warmth of the wood-burning stove. The room also has a traditional Japanese sunken hearth, typical of an old kominka house. You can experience traditional Japanese living, such as enjoying a hot pot around the irori (traditional hearth) or grilling skewers. *Please bring your own cooking utensils, such as ingredients and skewers. The inn is located in a quiet hamlet called Kobusa, nestled in the mountains of Misasaki City, Okayama Prefecture. Right nearby is Nishi-Awakura Village, which is gaining attention as a village focused on regional revitalization and resettlement, and the area is characterized by a rich natural landscape of “satoyama” (wooded areas between cultivated fields). Shodoshima, 30 seconds to the sea, you can see the sea from any room

This house is built on the quiet seaside in Shodoshima Town. The house was built just for dusk watching the sea and the sunset.Therefore, I apologize for the large number of stairs on the terrace, but I can never call it barrier-free.(I will do my best to help with my luggage, etc.) However, at the end of the high terrace, there is a glittering, calm and beautiful sea in Setouchi, and a kane-colored sunset that changes faces every day. Forget your time and enjoy the extraordinary. *We are currently not allowing pets to stay at the property. Please contact us before booking if you would like to use this service. The interior is accessed by climbing the terrace stairs.It is not handicap accessible. Please be sure to accompany small children or adults when climbing up and down the stairs. Also, on rainy days, there are many stairs, so it may be inconvenient. The road in front of the inn is not paved. Please note that this may be an inconvenience. There is a lot of nature around the inn, so there are definitely insects.Sometimes insects come in together when opening and closing windows and doors.(Especially at night, insects gather in the light of the inn) We are very sorry, but please refrain from staying if you are not good with insects.

You can rent a small old house and a large Japanese garden, limited to one group per day. Spend your days like a local at this place, which is close to the Seto Inland Sea. We have 2 electric bicycles and 5 bicycles available. They are available for free to guests. You can also take your bike on the ferry to Naoshima and Teshima. Insects may enter the house depending on the season, as the garden is close to the old house. We are taking measures, but please refrain from booking if you are not good with insects. When you come by car, we ask you to check in by yourself. When you come by train or bus, we can pick you up and drop you off at Uno Station. There is another traditional house nearby. Because it is an old house, there are steep stairs (with handrails) and steps. We appreciate your understanding and caution if you have small children or have difficulty walking. We've carefully designed the fixtures and layout so that you can enjoy this facility at your leisure, as well as use it as a place to stay while traveling. In the dining room with an island kitchen, you can enjoy music with high-quality speakers. Enjoy the scent and feel of the rare pine flooring. For the bedroom area, we have thick futons instead of beds, also with small children in mind. In addition, the futon area is slightly elevated with tatami mats. OHANA is a private seaside cottage on Naoshima, known as a sacred place of contemporary art. There are two cottages, sea side and mountain side; Lani is the mountain-side cottage. Free parking is available on site. The cottage accommodates 6–8 guests and includes a kitchen and washing machine. It is a 3-minute walk to the Yellow Pumpkin and 2 minutes to the bus stop.
