The view of Mt.Fuji when you get up and open the window in the morning is amazing!The surrounding tranquility is good for photos and the house is clean.But there is only one toilet downstairs and need to go downstairs to the toilet, but the impact is not much.

The place is about 20 mins walking distance, or you can take the red/purple line bus. Check in was super easy with clear instructions. The house is very new, high end finishes, very good but basic kitchen appliances. The shower is very small as described but it will for most people... I'm 6'1" athletic build and had no issues. Washer dryer is combined but not that drying takes a very long time. That's the downside of combined washer dryers. But it is still better than no dryer, which is write common in Japan Only downside is if you need a taxi pick up. Unless you can speak Japanese, we couldn't, you are likely to have a hard time getting a taxi to come for pick up. If timing works out the bus stop is 2 mins away. We had to walk with our luggage to the station (early morning time), which as I said is very walkable and there are many that do overall very pleasant stay and super responsive host

It was a very nice and comfortable stay. We've heard other reviews say you're concerned about the sound along the road. There are also earplugs in the ample amenities, so we had a stress-free night's sleep. We had a peaceful stay in a space where you can feel everywhere with attention to detail. It's really a surprise!This is the best homestay I have ever😭 stayed in Japan. Although it's a bit tiring to climb up the hill, everything is worth it after entering the villa. The host prepared a lot of beautiful supplies, as well as a lot of ingredients and gifts. All the details are perfect.The private bath is much bigger than it looks in the photos, you don't even have to go out, and it's a lot more cost-effective than a hot spring hotel that costs thousands.The host is also very friendly and communicative.You will fall in love with Hakone because of a homestay, and the conclusion is: I will come back next time!

大 was extremely hilarious, a really funny guy. He picked us up at Kawaguchiko station and drove us to our accoms. The accoms was really cozy, just a walk out from the accoms, you’ll be able to see Mt. Fuji (on a good weather day). Love the free use of bicycle - we literally travelled around via bike only. 大 also recommended food around the area to us. He was always very responsive to all our queries during our stay. I highly recommend this accoms! : )

We’re so glad we chose this place as our last stop in Japan. The hospitality was second to none, we immediately felt at home. The beautiful and peaceful surroundings were exactly what we needed after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo nights! Our 8 yearold son had a blast riding the provided bikes to the nearby lake to see Mt. Fuji as clear as day, definitely worth the 6 a.m. alarm! Special thanks to Allen and his team. Jerry is one of the friendliest people we’ve met in Japan. We’ll 100% stay at your place again in the future. Keep up the great work and the high standard of Japanese hospitality. Arigatou gozaimasu!

I love every bit of David’s place. It is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Joēi, which you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day. The house is spacious and has everything I need to stay comfortably for a month. There are big supermarket and drug store within walking distance, and with the bike David provided, you can go to a large shopping mall and pretty much all living necessities within 15 min. David and his wife Naomi are extremely friendly and helpful. Recommended me good restaurants and also useful tips to get around. I enjoyed my stay here very much. I highly recommend this place to other travellers when you want to escape the crowd and experience Japanese rural lifestyle.

Uncle Rabbit is the man! Very helpful from show us around town to getting us from the train station to also answering any questions we had. As for the room is was actually even nicer than we thought it was going to be so huge bonus, overall fantastic place if trying to see fuji.

Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful kawaguchiko apartment. Place was exactly as described and in prestige condition. Close to all Mt. Fuji hot spots and a feel safe neighborhood. Definitely would stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Worth the price . The bath and sauna were perfect. Two bedrooms! One with two western beds and two futons. With a car, everything in town is easily reachable. Amazingly friendly, solicitous, yet also entirely unobtrusive. We even splurged on the omakase dinner at the nearby Fresh Water restaurant-- it was superb -- accesible, authentic and even american kid friendly.

Wonderful place. Very cleanse and updated. Even had heaters in the room as very cold. We would stay there again. Only niggle was requesting for a later check out by one hour but we understand it could not be done. Thank you for a great stay!

山梨is extremely responsive and very helpful. She helped us checked in seamlessly and explained how to use the various equipments in her house. She even recommended us where to go for sightseeing and shopping places where locals go. The amenities in her place is the most complete that we have come across. Everything that you need to feel at home, cook at home etc are all there. We highly recommend her place, esp in those seasons where the sky is clear and one can seat outside to enjoy the nature and slip a drink. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

My husband and I stayed here for the Mt Fuji part of our honeymoon and we cannot rave about BLIKIYA enough. It was so beautiful and in a wonderful location with an easy 15min walk to Chureito Pagoda, a 3min walk to the famous Honcho Street and a 7min walk to the nearest 7eleven. There is so much around and the streets are quaint and stunning. Shoko has so many recommendations in the local area and was extremely responsive. She was also very helpful suggesting ways to get to Mt Fuji from Tokyo, then the best way to get to Kyoto (our next stop). The bed was extremely comfortable and the whole place smelt AMAZING!!!! I cannot imagine a better place we could have stayed. I would highly recommend staying at Shoko’s BLIKIYA WA to everyone and we are so keen to return. If you’re in the fence about where to stay in the Mt Fuji area, you should feel 100% comfortable choosing this place. You won’t regret it. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Thank you for the wonderful stay. The accommodation was exactly as pictured and described, host was super helpful with showing us around, providing recommendations and sorting us a taxi back to the station on our departure. It was very peaceful and secluded, allowing us to use the bikes meant we could easily get into town.
