Very colorful house. There is everything you need, and more. The host is trying very hard to help. The host has everything. There is even a wonderful hot tub and massage chair. It was interesting to sleep on tatami. Very nice view of Fuji. The house is very big. We were together, but it is also suitable for a small group.

Absolutely loved our stay at this traditional Japanese house. The space was clean, peaceful, and full of charm — tatami floors, shoji doors. Best of all, we were incredibly lucky to catch a clear view of Mount Fuji right from the backyard. Truly unforgettable. Would definitely stay again!

The beach is right there, you can see the sea even if you are sitting in the dining room, the stars are beautiful, the location was great!It was a family trip for three generations, but I would like to come back again. There is no microwave, so I thought that if you have small children, you need to be creative with your belongings.

I live nearby.My son and his wife came with a baby. On the day of fireworks, accommodation costs for nearby ryokans are soaring, but this time, it was a weekday price even on holidays, and it felt like a great deal. Originally, when I booked by mistake for a month, they responded by rescheduling, and they were willing to handle forgotten items, and communication was very smooth.Thank you very much.

The sauna, water bath, and natural hot spring were all pleasant to use!The description of the facility was also easy to understand, and we had a comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Gabriel's home in Hakone. The private indoor and outdoor onsen were absolutely perfect—such a relaxing experience and exactly what we needed to unwind midway through our trip. The space was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable for our group of four. One of the highlights was how accommodating the host was—allowing us to leave our luggage at the home after check-out so we could continue exploring Hakone without the hassle of carrying our bags. It made a big difference and we’re so grateful. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient stay in Hakone!

It was a very comfortable trip. The room is also clean, and for sleeping in a tent The kids are having a great time.They were also happily playing in the small house and slide in the garden. The location was also great because there was a convenience store and a Super Don Quijote nearby! The BBQ set was also easy to use.

We had an amazing time during our 3 day weekend ! Place was exactly as per the pictures and we had the feeling of being in another country ! Beach really close by (walkable distance but with hill to get back to the house), convenient store and grocery shopping near by if you have a car. Would happily come back for holidays !

great area to stay with great Mount Fuji views!

Yuji was really responsive and easy to communicate during our stay. It was an old house but I think the owner already tried his best to maintain and clean it (it’s just too old and had some stain and rust on places). There were trees and bushes surrounded the house - beautiful but yes a lot of bugs, and luckily not much got inside. There was not much to do nearby but would be good stopby to rest for a night. Considering the price it’s totally worth it. I’ll still give it 5 stars in overall.

Megumi and Toshi were wonderful hosts from check-in until check-out! From being greeted at the entrance, talking story in their mini cottage, giving us recommendations - places to eat, activities, and checking the surf report - and being very helpful when we needed anything. This place was clean, beautiful, private, and quiet. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. I highly recommend it and I would go back there every time. Mahalo!

They were flexible in changing the check-in time, and it was helpful that they explained various things in detail, from guiding us to the building to tips for staying warm. It was a little cold in winter, but the atmosphere inside, such as the Irori and the heater, was lovely and enjoyable. Thank you!

We stayed in this lovely home just outside of town, nestled in nature, for one month and felt right at home. Abhi is a most generous and considerate host, he helped us out from start to finish and made sure we had the best time in the Shimoda area. You do not need a car if staying here as the beach and a couple of restaurants are only about a 10 min walk from the house and convenience store about 20 minutes and a couple more good restaurants / bars about 35 minutes. But if you want to visit more sites in the area or go to the grocery store we'd recommend a car. The main reason we were visiting the area was to dive with the huge schools of Hammerhead sharks just off the coast here. Without a car the dive center can pick you up. We had a comfortable stay, very clean.

It was a very beautiful and hospitable facility. We were very grateful for the quick response and flexible check-in and check-out times. There was a wide variety of tableware and cooking utensils, and I was very satisfied with the variety and content of the meat and fish that I could order in addition, so I was very satisfied. The location is also great, close enough to walk to the beach. We would definitely like to stay again.

Very peaceful and quiet during the offseason. Rumiko-San is an excellent host. I hope to return soon. :)

Great place to stay right next to the train station. Beautiful views of Fuji right out the window. Many shops, cafes, restaurants, and points of interest within a few minutes walk. Stayed for two nights with my family and we had no issues at all. Don’t miss the Forest Music Museum!

The building is old but seemed to be very well cared for.The staff was also very responsive.It is a quiet place away from the center of Atami.The hot springs were unemployed, transparent, and great.Recommended for those who want to enjoy the hot springs and spend a quiet time.

Cannot express how highly I recommend this place & Mizuno as a host. Beautiful beautiful scenery, stunning traditional home, and the location is great. We lost a bag and Mizuno was on top of it and helped us get it back within 2 hours. We look forward to being able to stay with Mizuno soon!

I have used Airbnb in a lot of places but I’ve never met a better host. Jun was helpful even before we reached. He helped us out with how to reach, maps, public transport routes, places he liked so that we can plan our trip well. When we reached, he personally received us and helped us with our bags even though he has plenty of staff to help around. He then took us to watch fireflies in his own car as firefly season was going on 15 mins away and we were lucky enough to witness them. The property has rocky beach on one side and sandy beach on the other side and both had pristine waters. In the evening, we cooked delicious wood fired pizza inside our house with help from Jun for the ingredients. We got late and would have had to walk back but when we got down, we saw Jun waiting there for us like a superhero. On that same night, we stargazed and saw the Milky Way around 1 am along with lots of shooting stars. This was a beautiful place and property and an even better host. 100/10 rating.

Convenient location with restaurants and convenience stores nearby.The only thing is that the entrance is upstairs, and it will be more troublesome to carry luggage.In addition, there is more car traffic in the morning, and trucks pass by from time to time, which is louder.

Situated within the woods, very quiet and peaceful area. Not touristy and easily accessed by car (although walkable to the lake by foot, it s pretty steep hilly road so may not be suitable to walk for elderly). Very cosy and clean place. highly recommend!
