Vacation rentals with a kayak in Ogemaw County

It was my second time staying here and the creek out back is perfect to do some fishing in. Its nice and cozy, makes you feel right at home.

Perfect location for our weekend away with friends. Close to Luzerne and Grayling, which is where we gathered most often. The house accommodated our group well. Bedrooms had comfortable beds, kitchen was well stocked, and bathrooms were clean with nice linens. The host was very friendly, informative, and responsive to any needs, before, during, and after our stay. She even provided us with S‘mores items which we shared with our friends. If you need a place to stay for your next fishing, snowmobiling, kayaking/canoeing, trip near Mio, MI this place would definitely meet your needs.

My second time stay and hope to return. House very clean, relaxing, and warm. Very convenient to town and restaurants. Orlando is a great host.

I surprised my husband with this holiday cabin/cottage on the lake getaway. He loved it!..and so did I. With GPS...the home was easy to find...even in the evening time, after dark. The home is warm and cozy. Loved the cabin decor. Love that all the rooms are on one level ( except for the mud room...just one step off the kitchen). We enjoyed sitting out on the 3 season porch drinking coffee in the mornings. Just keep in mind if you're traveling in the winter months, the porch is not heated. We just kept the door off of the living room open so that the heat would circulate. With our robes on and our hot cup of coffee, we did just fine. The views of the lake was awesome once the snow melted. The kitchen was fully stock with appliances, seasonings and spices. Slept like a baby on the queen size bed. Ample amount of clean linens. Bathroom nice and clean. Nice restaurants and pizza spots around town. Dog friendly! Would love to visit again in the summer months. 100 STARS ✨!

Myself and family had a wonderful stay. It was so peaceful and beautiful scenery. The place was clean and well stocked. We had a great time on the kayaks and John boat. The hosts were accommodating and there was great communication.

We take an annual vacation with our four children and their families. Our grandchildren ages range from 15 to almost one year old, so trying to find a place that will not only accommodate all of us, but will have activities for all of them to do, can sometimes be a challenge. The bounce house for our younger grandchildren was an absolute hit! They also had a small swingset that the littles thoroughly enjoyed. The game room with the five TVs and a variety of things to do kept our older grandchildren occupied the entire time. This is our ninth year and this location is in our top two favorites. Renee was always very responsive and did a great job communicating. We are already planning on returning to this location next year.

First off, I knew after seeing the funny aliens in the photos that this place was the fun and welcoming home to stay at and was first on the list when we were deciding. This place has all the charm, comfort and brings the joy, all the things that you could ask for. It was a perfect place for what we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves while visiting Tawas City and super duper comfortable & cozy too! Melissa, is an amazing host, wonderfully friendly, detailed, very helpful and quick to reply, as well as making sure we were having the best time while visiting. We cannot wait to visit again and for a longer stay this time so we have more time to enjoy all the fun things Melissa created to make our visit even more fun and hopefully bring our adult son too. We recently stayed in Sarah’s beautiful cottage by the lake in Hale,MI over Memorial Day weekend.Its a very easy drive from Ann Arbor.This destination worthy cottage is beyond beautiful with Rustic and modern farm house feels! Everything at the cottage is thoughtfully and meticulously planned and you can see the labor of love of the owners at the property. The place is warm and inviting like and we had a wonderful time in this little slice of heaven with gorgeous views. Hot Tub was a bonus since the Temp was still in 50’s.Sarah was very kind and responsive through out our stay. You couldn’t ask for better Hosts!

We enjoyed our long weekend at Houghton Lake in your beautiful home. It was the perfect space for 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The kitchen is fully stocked and the home was clean and had thoughtful touches throughout. Also, the sunset views are amazing! You can tell they take pride in hosting guests. We would love to come back during the summer to enjoy the lake more.

The cabin was very clean and homely was very satisfied with the amities and the surrounding area was very quiet.Nichole was a great host.

The house was absolutely spotless and everything looked new, modern, and very well maintained. The deck was amazing, perfect for relaxing and taking in the beautiful views. Being right on the beach made the experience even better. The host was extremely nice and responsive, which made the whole stay smooth and enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

100% recommend! This is our family’s 4th summer staying here. We absolutely love it! Our group ranged from a 3 yr old to a 50 year old, including our teenage son and young adult daughter. The neighbors on either side were friendly and helpful. Our family enjoyed swimming, fishing, paddle boards and the fire pit. It is the perfect summer get away!

Great house!!! The place is picturesque, with a beautiful backyard and barbecue area. If you want to stay in silence and listen to the birds singing, come here! I recommend it!

The house was a bit smaller than expected, but it still worked out great. The paddle boards, paddle boat and kayaks were so much fun! Virginia was very responsive to the minor glitch that we did have with the electricity. Very clean. The fire pit was awesome and wood was provided (Bonus!!).

Cant say enough about the cabin and Floyd Lake. If you want a quiet place, nice neighborhood close to all attractions, you will enjoy your stay. Jeffry was responsive to all our questions and made check in very easy. Great place for the whole family, ages 72 to 3..highly recommended..kayaks were a hit.

This place is a gem! It has everything you could possibly need for a little getaway! We had a party of 9 aged from 2 - 55 and there was plenty to do for all! No matter where you are on the property or in the house you are never far away. From the kayaks to the kitchen, everything was made for a good time!

We enjoyed our time here and thought it was very clean and well organized! Having kayaks, fishing, paddle boat, fishing boat etc all available to us and all kinds of water and beach toys was great. Things are super organized in their well-lit shed and having all these things accessible to us was a huge perk of staying here. The cabin was cute and very clean and welcoming.

House was beautiful and well taken care of! What really stood out was the house was the house was in its original settings (electrical, stove, heating, etc)which all worked perfectly and in tip top shape , I felt nostalgia at its best! Even down to the toys which were also vintage. The water is right in your front yard and there is a fenced backyard. They provide so much at the house for you for a comforting stay. I definitely would love to stay here again, 5 stars!

Jeff and Ashlee are both amazing. We felt so at home. The cabin was more than we hoped for. You feel like you’re sitting right on the beach from pretty much anywhere in the cabin. We started looking for availability for our next trip before we even left. We already miss the two Eagles and the mallard ducks! It was our 47th anniversary and staying in the fishbowl made it perfect. Don’t have one negative thing to say.

6th year staying at Dennis and Danielle’s cabin in Gladwin. My family loves staying there, great veiw of lake , great size for my families needs there’s usually 8- to 12 of us. We’ve had good luck fishing, 33 inch Pike, huge bass. We rent a pontoon boat! Will be back next year! Thanks Dennis and Danielle
