Vacation rentals with lake access in Oceana County

We love Pentwater and are very familiar with the area so when we saw Nicole’s house we knew we had to rent it! We loved the location and the house was perfect for 2 families. Each family and kids were separated by the shared kitchen which made early mornings easier to not bother the other family. There was great amenities with a kitchen full of what we needed. Beds were comfortable and towels were nice as well. There were beach bikes, chairs, and outdoor games available for us to use in the garage. Separate garage fridge was very helpful as well. Right across the street from the public access on bass lake. Made letting some of the older kids head across the street without adults easier since we were so close. It was a perfect stay. Really hoping we can make this an annual thing for our families to rent!

Comfortable stay for 15 people. Nice area. Great big back porch which was nice during the day and evening. Would highly recommend this place to stay. So many kitchen appliances. Lots of towels and beach towels. Fully furnished.

Writing this review, with considerable jet lag, I can say the only feedback prompt I paused on was "value." This wasn't a cheap week. But seriously, it shouldn't have be. This is a large, well appointed property in a seriously beautiful lake country setting. Moreover, it's a real house for real people, not a beige/grey generic airbnb-fab unit created for the purpose of a revenue stream. Also- If you are a client with a boat/boat aspirations, don't think twice. This place is awesome.

This place was exactly as listed. The host was on top of responding to any questions. She left us a bottle of wine but we ended up not drinking, how nice though! The bar and the beach were awesome only thing bad was the weather, too cool to sit out there. There is plenty of parking for trailers if you’re going to the sand dunes. We are hoping to book it again in mid summer to utilize the beach and water! Great place to stay 100% recommended!

Alisha was a great host! Things were exactly as described. The location was perfect and plenty of space for the kids to run and have fun. Close to the dunes and Lake Michigan. Alisha responded to messages very quickly and was very friendly! We hope to rent from her again!

The location right on the beach is unbeatable. Stairs lead you down to the most beautiful soft sandy beach that is private and secluded for just your family. We stopped feeling like we needed to visit other beaches in the area because we felt like we had the best one in our own backyard. The house was clean and comfortable, well stocked with essentials and lots of games and cards as well. The spiral staircase gave us a workout, but definitely doable if you can handle stairs. The area felt very safe. We would love to return!

We had a fantastic time. Our winter walk on the beach w/the grandkids will be a lasting memory. We had the whole beach to ourselves. The home's location is very private... no hustle and bustle. It is filled with large windows everywhere and the beauty of the property during winter was amazing! Nothing was spared in our needs. Plenty of linens and towels for a big group. We didn't eat out and cooked each meal in the well appointed kitchen w/all the pots and pans and accessories that you need. Selma was great, was quick to communicate and very welcoming. We plan on booking again!

Great Place for a fall long weekend getaway! We enjoyed the ease of access to surrounding activities, beautiful views and advertised amenities. The place worked great for cooking in or outdoors and keeping two children entertained. Trips to dunes for hiking or motorsport, bigger cities for restaurants or shopping and parks for sightseeing and recreation are all available from this cottage. The place was well stocked with towels, bedding and cooking utensils. Some water and ice are also provided. I ended up needing to work a bit during the stay, the wifi was great for this. A note that lake front property is prime real-estate so neighbors are close by. While quiet and nice, having neighbors close by may not be everyone's cup of tea. Overall a great place to stay, would be interested in coming back for longer during the summer in the future.

We had an amazing week at Vickie's beautiful lakefront cottage in early September. The weather was perfect, and being a bit out of season, we were the only people around so it was very private and peaceful. Vickie sent a thorough welcome message initially with clear instructions for accessing the property, and provided some great recommendations for things to do in the area (aside from spending time on the beach!) She was always quick to respond to all other messages too. The house itself was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The setting just can't be beat - Vickie's home is on a great stretch of sugar sand beach. We really enjoyed taking sunset beach walks. Lastly, it meant a lot to us that we were able to bring our two dogs with us, and especially since we had to say goodbye to one of them shortly after getting home. We were so glad she had one last beach trip. I can't recommend Vickie's home highly enough. She was an exceptional host, and we can't wait to go back!

Wonderful place to stay with super hosts! Everything was beautiful in their lake house, and Chantal was wonderfully helpful during our trip. She checked on us regularly, gave advice about the area, looked into lake information for our boat, and even had a first aid kit available which was very useful during our trip! Highly recommend, will be using this location for our annual trip every year now!

This is my favorite place for a get away/retreat. The lake view is spectacular. It's great for walking, swimming and biking. There's no light pollution so you can see the constellations after dark. The 3 level house is spacious, but cozy; a wonderful place for a family with kids and grandparents. Instructions and expectations are completely clear, and Loretta and Zach respond quickly to questions. It's a pleasure to work with them and enjoy the beautiful setting of their lovely lake home.

Thanks Dawn and Seth for sharing this amazing space with my family. This was my bday weekend, I have this road trip tradition and by far this was my favorite place. The road trips are for me to clear my city girl head and get to relax. This place was that and so much more. Not only did they share their incredible, cozy space but also had this Boat shed with lots of things that made it Soo much more fun. The paddle boat was something I was very impressed by, the fully stock coffee station was my Puerto Rican mom’s favorite thing and my daughter loved going on walks through the forest. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was beautiful, the view of the sun set was like in the movies. It was very clean, very stocked and the fire pit was perfect with wood already provided. If you do visit this location, please sit on the wooden chair by the sand and look up. The stars are memorizing.

Kelly was a wonderful host! She was excellent at communication, very friendly, flexible with our check-out time, and made our stay so warm and welcoming. The hot tub overlooking the lake was so fun and a beautiful setting. I wish we had more time there so we could have taken the kayaks out or enjoyed a bonfire! We'll have to come back another time. :) The house is only a 15-min drive from Pentwater and Mears State Park, so it's perfect for shopping, finding restaurants, and hiking.
