We had the most wonderful 3 night stay with 2 of our granddaughters which are 21 and 12. We all took advantage of the outdoor activities, we played scoop ball, basketball, the girls played in the sand on the private beach, we used the kayaks to see the beauty from the middle of the lake. Loved the 2 decks and the ground level patio which was covered and also a nice dock for fishing. Loved watching lots of turtles sun on the log near the dock. Lots of shade on the 2 decks. Loved the fire ring on the beach which we did enjoy a fire one evening. The indoors is spacious with comfortable furniture, plenty of nice cooking supplies with all the condiments needed for cooking. No dishwasher which was no problem, we brought paper plates. Can sleep a lot of people, has 4 bedrooms. We have already planned our return for next year, we loved this beautiful quiet place so much!! So much to do to disconnect and be off our phones.

Peaceful well appointed cabin in a peaceful surrounding. Enjoyed easy access to the beach. Perfect for relaxing walks along the shore. Check out nearby Hart for quaint eateries and local orchards / farm markets.

We love staying here! Lovely and character-filled A-frame right on the beach. Not much cell phone service but wifi works well. Highly recommend.

Wonderful hosts, house and location! Hosts were very responsive with all messages and we got to meet Steven who was very nice and gave us fresh tomatoes. Beautiful location, pristine and comfortable house. We cannot say enough good things about our experience!

Sanel was the best host I have had on Airbnb! He was very responsive to any questions we had. The cottage was just minutes from Silver Lake Dunes and State Park. It featured a lake view, fire pit and many amenities. We stayed 3 nights and had the most convenient accommodation. Everything was right at our fingertips. I would definitely stay at a place Sanel hosted again. We are looking forward to the next trip to Mears, Michigan.

We loved this quaint cabin! It’s off the beaten path and feels very secluded, yet it’s close to everything! The stairs to the beach are worth the trip if you’re physically able. The heaters work well to keep you warm at night. And the fireplace is fabulous! Comfy, cozy, clean and beautiful views! Thanks for having us!

One of, if not the cleanest Airbnb we’ve been to. Everything was ready/easily accessible in the home, didn’t have to worry about missing/going out for anything. Area was really quiet and peaceful, however the bedrooms were close to/facing the road where the occasional car could be heard (1-2 cars per night). Overall had a great time staying here, would definitely recommend and possibly rebook in the future.

Thanks Dawn and Seth for sharing this amazing space with my family. This was my bday weekend, I have this road trip tradition and by far this was my favorite place. The road trips are for me to clear my city girl head and get to relax. This place was that and so much more. Not only did they share their incredible, cozy space but also had this Boat shed with lots of things that made it Soo much more fun. The paddle boat was something I was very impressed by, the fully stock coffee station was my Puerto Rican mom’s favorite thing and my daughter loved going on walks through the forest. The beds were comfy, the kitchen was beautiful, the view of the sun set was like in the movies. It was very clean, very stocked and the fire pit was perfect with wood already provided. If you do visit this location, please sit on the wooden chair by the sand and look up. The stars are memorizing.

Beautiful place! Cute and cozy vibe. So many things made our stay great. So well taken care of. Linens and towels smelled wonderful! Obviously attention to detail is a priority, which makes for a great experience. Peaceful deck and convenient firepit. We were able to check in a bit earlier, and also had an hour later checkout, which we appreciated. Wonderful hosts! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Sandra’s beautiful place! It was a perfect spot for our three generation family…cozy places to sleep, 2 1/2 bathrooms, board games for days, space for lounging and toddler play, a great kitchen/dining area for all of our meals, great outdoor space with a hot tub, and access to the gorgeous beach. We played games, cooked meals, watched the Olympics and a movie or two, soaked in the hot tub, had great beach time, and visited nearby attractions. We’ll never forget Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo, Little Sable Point Lighthouse, and the Cherry Point Farm and Market’s beautiful flower maze. And then the beach time back at “home”….the 163 steps to the Lake were no problem for the 20 mo. old, 75 yr. old, and everyone in between! Many trips to the beach offered windy days with fantastic waves, calm days with peaceful breezes, and evening sunsets with s’mores around a campfire…doesn’t get much better! Thanks to Sandra for allowing us to make wonderful memories

Amazing stay at Josh and Angela's place. Extremely clean, tidy, spacious to accommodate our adult kids/spouses and 2 young children. Kitchen VERY well equipped and ample available cabinet space to hold our food and snacks. We grilled each night. Josh and Angela were responsive when we asked questions and very conscientious. Having the private association beachfront accessible was truly wonderful. Never crowded. There were nice games available and toys for the Littles. I love that the kids not only got the Lake Michigan experience, but also wooded surrounds and campfire experience. Utilized the kayaks, sand toys and beach chairs. Visit Ludington with Littles- take them to the Sandcastle museum. Our 5 year olds spent all morning, then lunch break and returned for the afternoon with plenty to explore. They asked to go back the following day! As a former educator, I highly recommend supporting this museum!! Would definitely return!!

We stayed during the "off" season so lots of activities, shops and places to eat were closed. We didn't mind too much because we were looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay. It has to be amazing during the warmer months when you can take advantage of being outside and in the water. Since the house is right on the lake, we had beautiful views. I was lucky enough to catch an amazing sunrise. "The Sandlot" was exactly what you think of when you think family lakehouse. Rustic, cozy and charming. It felt very homey. The house was one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. The only issue we had were so many trips up and down the stairs. If you have any mobility issues like me, (bad knee) then you must be careful on the stairs. They can be kind of slippery in socks.

What a lovely place! The views are stunning. The home is cozy. It is the best appointed kitchen I’ve seen from an AirBnB. Knives are sharp enough to cut a tomato! The beach is beautiful and very private. We had my 4 year old with us and there was plenty to keep him entertained. Would absolutely go back to this home.

Where to start? Sara's place on Lake Michigan was wonderful for our multi-generational family vacation. So much space to spread out including the huge comfy sofa as well as several decks outside. The cottage was also nice although we did not use it except for watching sunsets. It is an easy 20 minute walk down the beach to Mears State Park and from there another 15 minute walk into the charming town of Pentwater. The farm market on Monday and Thursday in the village green is great and the band concert on Thursday night is a real small town treat for our bunch of city people. Sara's house was immaculate and she was immediately responsive to any issues [missing window shade]. There are about 60-65 steps down to the beach and I was reluctant to attempt it the first day but found it quite doable even for my 75 year old knees. My 5 year old grand daughter had no difficulty at all. You will not regret a stay at this property and we would gladly return.

The cottage provides a wonderful view of Lake Michigan. It is clean, and the owners are very attentive to your needs. The beach is very accessible, and nearby Pentwater is an attractive place to visit.

Reiterating the other comments on amazing location, beach access, and views from deck. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time and it made it so much more enjoyable to have kayaks and a paddle board for use. The location made it convenient for our group to come and go as we wanted, without the coordination of driving to the beach. It was a further drive from the most popular tourist attractions on the coast but we thought it was well worth the tradeoff. The lighthouse down the beach is also a great place to visit and one of the few lighthouses we found that weren't under renovation. I would make sure you understand that the majority of beds are twin with a single double bed, in case you come with couples. There was a slight miscommunication from the posting, in that it seems like the hosts would prefer not to use the top bunk beds unless required to for the number of people. Our kids were disappointed but quickly got over it for the beach experience.

Elizabeth was a great host with a beautiful property. She was extremely communicative and helpful, the porch and views were amazing. Be prepared for a lot of steps down to the beach, but definitely worth it for the soft sand clean water and private beach.

We had our 12th annual Grand Valley Colleges friends reunion! We all agreed the piney woodwork around the home, the envelope of pines and forest, generous beach and choice of deck beach views fit exactly what we needed. The expected steps to the private sandy beach were very doable for us aging folks. We managed to make meals for 10 with no problem in the small kitchen which is wonderfully stocked with everything anyone would need. We laughed and talked a bit too long after curfew so I hope we are forgiven for that. It's hard to control when we only get together once a year. We all want to express a huge thank you for sharing this home with us and for all the good energy provided. ❤️

The house was exceedingly well appointed, clean and beyond our expectations. The beach was amazing. It was truly a perfect getaway. The bed was so comfortable, and with the sound of the waves, I slept better than I had in years. I would highly recommend this property.

We had a wonderful stay at this house! The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views that made our trip truly special. The house was equipped with everything that was mentioned in the listing, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. Although the decor was a bit dated, it added a bit of charm to the place. The only downside was the presence of a lot of fruit flies, but aside from that, the house was clean and very welcoming. Overall, a great experience!
