A two-bedroom stylish and comfortable holiday apartment for up to four, with a terrace and picture-perfect view of the valley and mountains below. A cedar barrel sauna is available (at extra cost). The entire apartment was renovated in March 2024, including a new sauna oven (it gets really, really hot now), acoustic paneling, new kitchen with Bosch appliances (oven, dishwasher), rain-water shower, a washing machine with dryer, and new beds. You can also visit our herd of Scottish Highlanders!

Our cozy cottage is the perfect home base for exploring the medieval town of Herrstein and the Hunsrück National Park. With a view of the castle, we are less than a 5-minutes from the Mittelalterpfad, voted Germany's most beautiful hike, and the famous Hildegard-von-Bingen pilgrimage path. 10-minutes from the wolves at Wildenburg, 20 min to the 10th-century Schmidtburg and Celtic Altburg. 40 min to the Moselle. All of this within an an easy 1.5h drive from FRA; 40 min from FRA Hahn.

Welcome to Medardam Glan. Medard is a municipality in the district of Kusel, Rhineland-Palatinate. The place is surrounded by altitudes with orchards. From Medard, hiking sports, canoeing and draisine rides are possible. Our spacious non-smoking apartment can accommodate 1-3 people. It has a separate entrance, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area, a living room, one one a double bedroom and a shower room with toilet. The apartment also has a balcony.

We have excluded pets but dogs are allowed and welcome, The apartment is a few meters from the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park and very close to Erbeskopf and Idar-Oberstein. Restaurants, a bakery, a butcher and supermarkets are quickly accessible from the apartment by car.
