We stayed at this beautiful 150-year-old house in Kyoto with a group of five friends and were absolutely thrilled. The warm welcome we received made us feel right at home from the start. The house itself is simply breathtaking – full of charm and character, yet equipped with modern, clean, and comfortable sanitary facilities. We felt very well taken care of throughout our stay. Communication was excellent, and we always received quick and helpful responses to our questions. We couldn’t be more satisfied and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Kyoto!

We loved everything about this lovely townhouse. It is in the centre of everything yet tucked into a quiet, cute neighbourhood near many restaurants, shops and transit. The living space was bright and sunny, filled with natural light and views of beautiful trees just outside. We used the patio every day! We would book this townhouse again without a doubt. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous Japanese traditional house (2-10ppl)

This is a lovely traditional home in a small, quiet town, attractive to stroll around and admire. The house is spacious, comfortable, and well-stocked for a night or two with friends and/or family. It suited our group of five adults and two 12-year-olds extremely well. The fact that it has so many bedrooms is a significant advantage for groups that don't all want to share the same sleeping space, as is often the case at Japanese Airbnbs. The friendly hosts were waiting for us at check-in and gave us an extremely detailed tour and explanation of the property. There are not many services within walking distance, so we were glad we rented a car. We cooked dinner and breakfast, and found many useful condiments and spices in the kitchen. Really, the only disadvantage of this home is that it is rather expensive, but the experience of staying there is unique, making it worth the cost. Airbnb prices in general seem to be rising, so it is not dissimilar to others like it.

I had a fantastic stay—the place was spacious and comfortable to sleep in, fully equipped with all the cooking utensils I needed, and conveniently located near attractions and Kyoto Station, making taxi fares reasonable. Love it so much.

First time traveling independently, first time booking on Airbnb, I chose this hotel in Wanju in fear and doubt, and I was really surprised when I opened the door on the day of check-in. The decoration in the room, the feeling that came into view was so warm and comfortable... It made everyone who was exhausted after a day of walking feel relaxed all of a sudden~ This time I stayed for 3 nights, the facilities provided by the host are very complete and very new, especially the questions of the pre-operation can be answered quickly, it is really worth recommending, I will definitely choose to stay again if I have the chance💕

We used it as a group of 8 people, 3 adults and 5 children, 2 families. The kids were always playing with the playground equipment and were very happy! There are also 3 bedrooms, and the openings are filled with cushions, so I was able to sleep without worrying about privacy. The barbecue on the terrace overlooking the sea was also a good memory.

We loved our stay in OmiHachiman. It is a very quiet, chill town. Not a lot is open after 5 or so in the town so plan meals wisely. The blue house was clean, spacious and well appointed, with the most comfortable beds we encountered on our whole Japan trip. The bus from the train station goes nearby the accommodation and continues on to La Collina - very convenient..

The host was very nice and offered us to check-in as soon as the apartment was ready, and check out as late ad possible before the next guest arrived. The place was very spacious and the tatami was extremely comfortable. It was also very quiet! It was a bit cold in the bathroom but there are air conditioners on both first and second floor. Otsu station is not too close (about 10-12 minutes walk) but it is only 2 stops away from Kyoto station which is relatively convenient! All in all, it was a pleasant stay for our first trip to Kyoto! 😊
