Self check-in. Stay in the Samurai Ruins area!

We renovated part of a house in Ichijodani to be exclusively for private lodging. It is conveniently located for walking around Ichinotani, with nearby Asaga Kasuga Shrine, which was the Asakura family's war victory prayer place, the Asakura family ruins of Shimosakado, the Asakura family ruins museum and JR Ichinotani station, the Asakura family ruins Karamon, and the restored street. There is a firefly spot nearby, and you can also find them on the premises. There is also good access to major tourist destinations in Fukui Prefecture, such as the Dinosaur Museum, Ski Jam Katsuyama, Eihei-ji Temple, Tojinbo, Shibamasa, and the Sand Dome. There are no restaurants, supermarkets, or drug stores nearby. The convenience store is also 2.5 km away. There is a moss garden on the premises and a lawn that is not well maintained, but if the timing is right, you can enjoy a private cherry blossom viewing and snow play on the premises. Because it is a rural area, there are insects and small animals around the facility and sometimes in the room. If you cannot tolerate encountering these, please refrain from booking. The capacity is 4 people, but it feels quite small for 4 adults. No smoking in the facility, including the toilet, bathroom, and under the kitchen ventilation fan. Please refrain from cooking outside the kitchen with a portable stove, etc. License number M180031406

[150 ㎡ for rent] 160-year-old old private house that is a tangible cultural property | Maximum 9 people | Ideal for families and groups | Free parking for 5 cars

※ Each room is equipped with heating appliances such as air conditioners, kotatsu, electric blankets, etc., but the hallway is very cold. If you are not good with the cold, please refrain from booking. We carefully restored an old private house that has been around for 160 years. The beams and pillars still bear traces of people's lives, and the hearth stands quietly as it did then. It is a space that retains the good old Japanese atmosphere, but also has modern comforts such as air conditioning and water. During the day, soft light illuminates the tatami mats, and at night, the sound of insects and the wind calms the mind in the quiet. Experience nostalgic Japanese living while chatting with family and friends. It is about 150 ㎡ in size and can accommodate up to 8 people. Free parking (5 cars) is available, making it ideal for group trips. We aim to be a place where you can spend time "organizing your mind" rather than just a "place to stay". Facility Overview Rent an entire 160-year-old traditional Japanese house Up to 8 people/4 double beds 150 m² of spacious space Free parking available (5 cars) With kitchen (microwave, rice cooker, refrigerator, basic cooking utensils, dishes) Bathroom and toilet: modern (with bidet functions) WiFi, air conditioner, and hair dryer The Irori fireplace is installed for ornamental purposes only (no fire allowed)

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
