Cozy Cottage Hideaway

StacyRating, 5 stars2 days ago
If you are looking for a great little escape with the feel of glamping but the niceties of modern plumbing and electricity look no further. This is the spot! It was a scorching hot day and Amy and Kenny had the AC running for a great spot to decompress after a long drive. Both Kenny and Amy came out to chat for a bit since we love tiny houses and had a ton of questions that they happily answered. They pointed my son to the basketball hoop and the volleyball net and even let us take a dip in their pool to cool off after the heat of the day. They even gave us a few tips on how to explore Assateague. Having no kitchen was no problem since there was a small fridge to keep water and leftovers from restaurants. They also had a keurig and everything you’d need to grill outside. We had to do only a short stay this time around and are already planning to come back for a longer stay!

Chalet Style Home, private country setting

AprilRating, 5 stars4 months ago
I recently stayed at Crooked Elm and was thoroughly impressed. The place was impeccably clean, and the attention to detail was evident in every corner. The host's responsiveness was top-notch! One feature that stood out was the guest binder. It was incredibly detailed, providing clear instructions on everything from using the fireplaces to local attractions and dining recommendations. This made it easy to settle in and feel at home. It had everything we needed for a cozy stay! Overall, my stay at Crooked Elm was delightful, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy, well-managed retreat.

Holly Cove’s “Tiny” Guesthouse

TedRating, 5 stars1 week ago
An absolutely wonderful space. Cozy, as described, but it was the absolutely perfect base for my wife's and my weekend adventure in the nearby town of Onancock. The waterfront location is quiet and perfect for unwinding after a day or biking enjoying the shore. Martha could not have been more welcoming. This in addition to great communications and little touches like a goodie bag with snacks. Highly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting the area.

Quiet Nature Retreat with HOT TUB!

KellyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
The farm was super relaxing, remote, and a beautiful spot for our vacation. We loved the decor and feel of the cabin. It was an easy 30 minute drive to Chincoteague which is where we spent most of our days. There was a cute dog beach near by good swimming for the kids and fun for the dog too! Beckie and her family were a lovely host. Will definitely be back some time soon hopefully. I would recommend staying here if in the area!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Tarr Renovated Cottage!

MaryRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This cottage is located at the end of a dead-end street on the east side of the island, which faces the Chincoteague Wildlife Refuge. The location was VERY quiet and serene, the cottage is surrounded by tall grass so you have total privacy. It is very small island so you are within minutes drive to local restaurants and access to the Refuge . The cottage was extremely comfortable, very nice furnishings and decor. And, I have to say one of the more comfortable beds I've slept in. The bed could use some new pillows though, they were very soft and lumpy. My only criticism of my stay was the expectation of what was expected of us when left the cottage. Basically, we were asked to swipe the floors, take out all the trash, and strip the bed, way and put away all dishes, this is on top of paying a very hefty cleaning fee. While I realize there was still more cleaning involved, I've never been asked to do so much on top of paying the cleaning fee.

Breeze on Inn

The house is spotless, clean and comfy. Host is friendly and responsive. The only bad thing was the clock in Livingroom always shows 6:21. But otherwise is perfect. I definitely will stay there again if I'm around the area.
