This new place is perfect for a group of four to six. The three bedrooms are private, yet the common room and kitchen is conducive for group activities. Having laundry machines in the apartment is a great perk for anyone staying for a week. I suppose it depends on your personal interests, but we loved having the Tavern downstairs. You could easily eat there every night and have some good beverages with your high-quality meal. The live music (weekend stay) was awesome and it made the atmosphere festive. The hosts are very responsive and work hard to make sure your stay meets your expectations. They provide simple amenities like a Keurig Machine with K-cups and prepared ice in the freezer. There are cleaning supplies as needed. AC worked well. The location is top rated for proximity to Lake Champlain, Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, Ticonderoga, and many other day trips.

Beautiful rustic home in the Adirondacks

Tim's place was the perfect base from which we hiked in the snow for a week in January. The cabin is comfortable, nicely laid out, and well-outfitted. We spent every day outside but then relaxed in the late afternoons at the cabin, reading in the stove-warmed living room with woods and mountain views all around. (We could even see stars at night from the upstairs windows by the deck, without having to step outside.) As others have noted, the cabin feels secluded but has easy access to Rte 73 and the many trails between Lake Placid and Keene Valley. We also were able to hike from the cabin up Owl's Head trail as well as along a woods trail nearby Tim told us about. The kitchen had all we needed, as we cooked most of our meals, but we enjoyed the coffee and food at Capisce in Lake Placid and had a delicious post-hike lunch at Forty Six in Keene. All in all, a great place for a winter hiking vacation (and no doubt any time of year).

Loved the Brookside Cabin… it was cozy, clean, and beautifully decorated/appointed . It fit the needs of 2 people and 2 dogs for our 4 day winter holiday. Our dogs enjoyed the wooded property and exploring John’s Brook. It was covered in snow & ice - very scenic. The Caretaker “Dave” was extremely responsive when the heat unfortunately failed on a bitterly cold Sunday. He brought 3 electric heaters to keep us comfortable and arranged for visits from a heating company to fix the problem - which was done. Lana- the rental property manager -called everyday to be sure we were well taken care of as well. Can’t say enough good things - will definitely return and recommend to others.

We NEEDED our time here at this tiny cabin! I booked it to surprise my wife, for her birthday weekend and what a treat it was. Its on the same property and within the same proximity as the main house (where the homeowners stay) but we still stayed completely private and barley saw Emily until she greeted us with such kindness as we were leaving. It was so nice to disconnect and spend quality time together. Everything we needed was a message away! And the area was nice. We had so much fun exploring the area and felt so welcomed by everyone we met on this trip. I hear more is being added to the property soon and we’re so excited to go back!

We loved our stay. The well-maintained cabin is in a quiet and relaxing environment with a great view. It's close to many trails for great hiking in the mountains. Kristy and Jim are great hosts who are very nice and very responsive, which makes it easy to have a great and enjoyable stay. We are looking forward to return for some more relaxing and hiking in the future.
