Farmstay vacation rentals in Northern Rivers

Our 2nd stay at the glorious Beaumont high country homestead and this mini break was just as good, if not better than we remembered. The homestead is the perfect spot to enjoy all that Chinghee Creek has to offer - rolling hills, friendly cattle, peace and quiet, and quality family time at its best. Our kids (10 & 13) spent their days exploring and battling each other at table tennis, and we all enjoyed reading, baking, and board games. Our hosts Claire and Rod were incredibly helpful and generous during our stay, inviting us to view some recently born calves at Christmas Creek. A five star rating doesn't seem enough. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful relaxing 4 days at Oakhurst Cottage. Great place to visit with your dog, all the livestock are very quiet. A lovely property to walk or drive around, we made it all the way to the Manbundi geodetic station at the very top of the property. 1300 meters above sea level. Amazing Views from up there, and an absolute abundance of wildlife. We would highly recommend Oakhurst Farm stay .

The place matched all we wanted, space, veranda, pit for our BBQ, with peace and quiet and good kitchen to cook easily. Close to awesome beaches and Coffs Harbour, we were not bored regardless of rain. Also enjoyed a company of Kelpie dog who watched us so friendly. Definitely back for more great nature and excellent location for peacefull sleep.

Thank you for a wonderful family Easter at the Cottage at Kelvin Falls. We all had a wonderful time (including Polly our Dog!). Thank you for being friendly and warm, we loved every detail of the cottage with its gorgeous decor and styling. Its position on your working farm is wonderful, allowing privacy when needed to share in family time. The property has fabulous walks and really beautiful vistas from every window. The kids also enjoyed the fire-pit as the evening weather cooled down a little. The prize at the end was a personal tour of Rowena’s beautiful dahlias…the perfect way to conclude our break! What a beautiful place to stay. Sue was responsive and incredibly helpful and it was lovely to meet her and the family on our ride (we got to tag along the muster) The property is really well set out to accommodate horses and dogs for your holiday. On Sue‘s recommendation, we took a nice ride down to the river and stopped for morning tea. The home is comfortable with beautiful views down to the Albert River and over the valley. Highly recommended staying here !

We truly wish we stayed a few days longer. What a special place! Perfect combination of peaceful, yet lots to do. Simple yet with everything you could possibly need. Leoni was very kind, friendly and took our family on a feeding tour of their beautiful farm. The kids got to feed goats, donkeys, chickens, and even alpacas. They got to cuddle a baby goat, collect freshly laid eggs and have a stroll and swing down by the creek, with sheep, cows and a rainbow in view. True bliss.

We had a lovely overnight stay! The location was great - easy to find and very peaceful. Communication with the host was clear and prompt, which made everything super smooth. It was also perfect for our dog and kids with plenty of outdoor space.

Kim was the best host and so welcoming. My partner and I stayed for a week and felt right at home. The barn was so clean, well equipped, gorgeous and very peaceful. Kim was lovely enough to leave us fresh flowers from the garden and respond to any questions. Absolutely recommend🌻

Firefly was even better than we thought it was going to be. Complete privacy, awesome accommodations and everything we needed for a peaceful getaway and Wayne & Jodie were lovely hosts. We will definitely return.

One of the best equipped airbnb’s that I’ve stayed at - everything is thought of for guests with easy checkin and heaps of privacy (except from the cows!). The yard was great for our two cavoodles! Thanks Libby

The Cubby hosted by Vanessa and Dave, was a peaceful escape into the Northern Rivers region. Located on a serene pecan nut plantation, the calm atmosphere made us feel at home on arrival. The Cubby is clean, comfortable and well equipped. A short drive down Orara Way took us to Glenreagh, where we enjoyed delicious pastries and pies at the Glenreagh Bakery, the vanilla slice is a must try. Spending time with the resident Highland cows Sinead, Theora, and Bella each with their own sweet personality. Brushing their shaggy coats and snapping photos with them and witnessing their gentle nature was a fun and enjoyable experience. Waking up to horses at the gate, roaming freely around the property, added to the calm, rustic charm of the property. On our final night, Dave brought over a bowl of pecans from the plantation which we enjoyed with a few drinks by the campfire. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and friendly animals? This is the spot!

If you’re looking for a peaceful and private spot, this is the one! This BnB looks just like the pictures and is well equipped with everything you need for seamless holiday. Stuart was also super responsive and helpful during our stay. It was so lovely being surrounded by the hills and the farm - highly recommend to anyone

We loved staying at Black Cockatoo! It was a great place to getaway as it was peaceful and private. Close enough to Byron to go in for a trip but not have to deal with how busy it gets. Looking forward to staying here again!

We had a lovely time at Rozie and David’s farm. They were very warm and friendly hosts and we enjoyed joining them at animal feeding time both days we stayed. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and gave great local recommendations and insight. The kids enjoyed seeing the goats, sheep, cows and chickens as well as the dogs and we went for a walk to see the kiwi and citrus farms too. It rained a lot but that didn’t bother us because we had the right gear (highly recommend packing gumboots and raincoats). :) The cottage was cozy and clean and well equipped and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others looking for a farm experience that isn’t busy and commercial.

Thanks Joolie, Willow Cabin for 3 nights was simply perfect! As soon as you arrive and open the red door, the cabin is welcoming inside and out and the view is absolutely spectacular! Sunrise and sunset on the deck with a glass of wine and fire, overlooking the most lush landscape, listening to the birdlife and seeing the resident Wallaby, couldn’t ask for anything more! Plenty to see and do with Lamington National Park only 30 mins away. The cabin had everything and more with such comfy features, thank you I look forward to returning ⭐️ 💞

What can I say - Jo’s place blew me away! I had the most relaxing, secluded, balancing stay I could ever have imagined. The place is lovely, so clean and with everything you need. The pool is huge with a view over the buildings of the Gold Coast - magnificent. The spa, well I wanted to stay in there forever! Then there is the wildlife - wallabies, all kinds of incredible Australian birds - such a treat. The bed -divine. Then, the friendly but unobtrusive hospitality of Jo. What can I say. She looked after my little doggie when I went to lunch with friends. Always there for an interesting chat if you feel like one. She is the real deal, so genuine and lovely and goes above and beyond. Truly, do yourself a favour and stay here!

Another wonderful stay at Sandy's beautiful property. This is now our go to house when visiting Warwick, very peaceful and very accommodating hosts!

A great place for a peaceful retreat. A lot of space for kids to play and enjoy themselves. The mountain views and fields were amazing. We will definitely consider Cara's property for another holiday.

This is a fantastic home. We stayed there to be close to the Gold Coast Farm House wedding venue, so this was perfect. The home is spacious even though it is described as "rustic" and had everything we needed. As a host, Darcelle was so gracious and helpful. We had to extend our stay due to a medical emergency and she accommodated us without hesitation. It was great seeing the vintage decorations inside. Lot of great yard space and the view is amazing. This is an extremely private location, so perfect for not wanting to be disturbed by anyone walking by. Very simple to find and cannot recommend highly enough.
