I love old Assam type house and this house is perfect for me. Old houses are not easy to clean or maintain, if you are looking for a modern and sparkly clean place, this is not a place for you. I LOVE the location and the space. It takes about 7 minutes to trek up the hills to get to the busiest part of Laitumkhrah where all the actions are. The walk up and down the steep hills is part of the fun for us but, if you are not physically active, you may have a hard time catching your breath walking up the hills. I didn't have to call for a taxi but if you do need one, it's probably not a problem since it's so close to the Laitumkhrah taxi stand. The property is very spacious; 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a kitchen and a living room. There are two balconies, the back balcony has a nice view of the stadium and the front balcony receives plenty of sun for several hours each day. Perfect for sunbathing on sunny winter days. Marc and Jason were kind, responsive and helpful. Thank you both!

If you're feeling on the fence about booking this property. Let me tell you that the photos don't do justice to this place. The moment you step in it's evident Farrah has put in a lot effort and care into curating this property. Every corner of the house is filled with charm and personality. The bathroom was clean and the kitchen stocked with breakfast food. If you're like me looking to embarce the slow quaint Shillong life for a few days. You can't go wrong with this traditional style Shillong house (...that actually feels like a home and not a hotel!). And having Farrah as your host only adds to the value. : )

From the moment we arrived, everything about this Airbnb was absolutely perfect. The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had every amenity we could possibly need — from a fully stocked kitchen to super comfortable beds and high-speed Wi-Fi. Our host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful, even leaving us a welcome basket with snacks and local recommendations. The check-in process was seamless, and the location was ideal — close to everything but still quiet and peaceful at night. Waking up to the stunning view each morning was a highlight, and the private outdoor space was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We truly felt at home and will absolutely be coming back. If you’re looking for a remote getaway that offers privacy and the charm of village and farm living, this is the perfect place. My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautifully maintained, and the hospitality provided by the host and their family was exceptional. From the homemade, organic food to the locally crafted liquor, everything was delicious and healthy. The barbecue prepared by the host was a highlight—absolutely “yum yum”! They also went above and beyond to assist us with local sightseeing, making our experience even more memorable. A special mention goes to the host’s sweet grandmother, their lovely niece Neema, and their adorable dog Snoopy, who added so much warmth and joy to our stay. I personally loved the peacefulness of the place. Nima being such a warm host just makes it more enjoyable. Location is good, house is clean, cosy and stuffed with all required amenities. This is my second stay in this cozy, clean, and lovely apartment. Like before, I absolutely loved every thing about my stay. Rajasree is a gem of a human being and is mindful of all details. She served me freshly-made breakfast every day and also, though this was not a part of my stay, treated me to a delicious homecooked Bengali lunch, seasonal treats, and mutton biryani for dinner. The room is immaculate and met all my needs. As a single traveller, I felt safe and cared for. I definitely plan to return.

Awesome place - ideal for peace. The hosts are friendly and responsive. the place is away from the city and you could share a taxi for 80 bucks one way per passenger to the city centre. I would want to stay there again. Cheers

Great stay! Beautiful classic apartment with classic furnitures. Located at the heart of happening neighbourhood of Dhanmondi. The apartment is cleaned as often as requested and has most necessary amenities. Abdullah was very communicative and attentive to our needs. The manager and the security people are also helpful and friendly, so are the cleaning ladies. Highly recommended.

This property is an oasis of calm and luxury while being easily accessible. Mr Tsewang and Mrs Michele are avuncular, amiable and treated me like a family member. This charming couple is easily one of the best hosts. With their stories and anecdotes compiled from a wealth of experience living in different parts of the world, daily breakfast with them was a highlight of my trip. It was a privilege to be able to share some parts of their lives via insightful conversations and I will treasure these memories. Mr Tenzing is hospitable to a fault and served up excellent food daily. The house has minute touches that elevates your stay with the kind of views guaranteed to leave you awestruck. Everything is squeaky clean and you are provided with all the sundries while being next to a well appointed grocery store. I had a great stay at this property! The location is perfect—just a short walking distance from the metro station, which made getting around very convenient. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast provided was delicious and a great start to the day. A special thanks to the caretaker, Mr. Rabi, who was extremely cooperative and always ready to help. He is a very polite and friendly person, which made the stay even more pleasant. Lovely place. This place can accommodate 10 people very comfortably and can be extended to 12 people, considering the first floor rooms can accommodate 3 people each. If you are a group of similar number, and can book the entire villa, you will have the best experience. Kaushalya ji and her husband are the hosts and will always make you feel at home. Uday ji and his wife will cook simple and tasty food for you. Kaushalya ji also recommended Santosh as a driver who was a very nice person. If you are a person who wants to go to the hills for being away from the noise, hustle and bustle of a city life and want to spend a few days in the serenity this is the place for you. We got wonderful views of Kanchenjunga from the Villa itself. There are pine forests all around where you can go for morning walks and enjoy the sunrise. If you are a party lover and want to go to a place to do a lot of activities and want to have a lots of shops and happening places around, look for other options.

The place looked exactly like the photos. Do not expect a standard hotel type experience as a lot of the furniture and decor was vintage and it really added to the ambience. The bathroom is really tiny but that probably because that how bathrooms were set up in the old days Vishal and his team were very accommodating to my needs which was a night time check in and a late afternoon check out. The food was outstanding and I appreciated that both breakfast and lunch was provided much later than the designated times purely for my convenience. As a host, Vishal was very communicative and helpful. It is slightly costlier than the average Airbnb cost in Guwahati but it's worth it for the ambience and the food. Definitely recommend.

Bibi is a gracious host whose place is spotless and welcoming. The room is accessed through a separate staircase, so it is private, with a tiny verandah facing the beautiful garden. Bibi is very kind and helpful, allowing for a late check out for me and also taking a parcel for me. The complimentary breakfasts she serves are lovely as well. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. It was in a quiet lane off the main zoo road with lots of cafés and shops on the main road.

Highly recommended. The location is right next to park street with all the iconic restaurants and key tourist spots being ten minutes away. Mehul was a great host and the stay was also very comfortable and flexible. Will definitely stay here next time.

Amazing stay, looks like host didn't want do this as business looks more like they are doing with a passion...Great ambience, feels refreshing, I haven't seen host keeping an air purifier and Computer for small office works...and many more, felt like a home. Great breakfast

A private room in Saptorishis and Shubha’s home. Warm and welcoming hosts that were very helpful, thoughtful and kind. Simple but spacious and sufficient room, a very decent walkable lake park nearby and easily reachable location by cab. Excellent for long stays. Their pets Bolt and a kitten are super fun and loving and my wife being a Vet had a lovely time with them. Salt Lake City is 2-3 kms away by cab and has a lot of the urban eateries and shopping available. ‘Home’stay in its truest sense!
