In the cottage on the shore of Höytiäinen, you can spend your vacation by a unique lake landscape. The wood-fired sauna has gentle steam and a view of the lake. Underfloor heating and a fireplace provide warmth in winter. Cooking with an Airfryer, in the microwave, or on the terrace with a gas grill. Drinking water is available directly from the kitchen faucet. The guest has access to the entire cottage, which has sleeping accommodations for two, a sauna, a toilet, and a small kitchen. Beautiful sauna cabin (floor area approx. 39 square meters) on the shore of the clear water of Valkealampi! It sleeps four people. The cottage has a sandy beach, in winter an ice hole. You can ice fish or fish in the summer. You can jump into the water from the lovely steam of the wood sauna. Relax in the tranquility of nature. Nearby you will find, among other things, Kontiolahti's ski slopes and trails, biathlon stadium, Paihola's frisbee golf course, summer café (about 6 km), Pielisjoki and Joensuu (21 km) and Koli National Park (about 54 km) services and activities!

A secluded cabin at the tip of a headland

A hidden gem by the pond, built by Vuorineuvos S.A. Tervo for himself at the tip of a headland, offers a peaceful haven steeped in history. This atmospheric, electrified cabin offers peace and quiet in the midst of nature, yet is only about 15 km (9 miles) from the services of the town of Nurmes (Bomba and Hyvärilä are about a 10-minute drive away). The shallow, fish-rich pond offers excellent recreational opportunities, and the surrounding area provides good mushroom and berry picking grounds. An idyllic place for a family cabin getaway too!

Villa Myyry villa on the shore of Pielisjoki

Villa Myyry is a cozy and well-equipped villa on the shores of Lake Pielisjoki in the village of Paihola, Kontiolahti. The villa has 77 m downstairs and a large loft. The location is in a quiet rural environment.  The driveway is right up to the door and there is plenty of parking space in the yard. Allergy-friendly, pets are prohibited. You can access the cycling trail directly from the yard or go snowshoeing on the ice of Pielisjoki. The ski resort Kontiolahti Biathlon is about 10 km away. The landlord lives next door.

Alapihan Arboretum guest house with sauna

Cozy guest house and sauna in a wild tree species park. There are about 250 different species of woody trees and shrubs in the two-hectare area. The trees were planted in 1970 and form their own microclimate, where the air is clean and good to breathe. The area is still partly in its natural state and renovation is being done in the area. For those interested, we will be happy to introduce the arboretums during the visit. The household includes two Lapphunds, a cat, a rooster and 6 hens. Breakfast available

Log cabin on the shore of Lake Pielinen

Beautiful log house on the shore of Lake Pielinen. A quiet location, stunning scenery and good outdoor opportunities best describe this place. In winter, you can access the ski slope from the ice in front of the cottage. In addition, the ski slopes of the Timitra ski resort are within walking distance of the cottage. In the courtyard of the cottage, there are good downhill skiing opportunities, as well as a great setting for winter activities. However, city services are available a few kilometers away.

Between fishes – our house on the lake in Finland

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

Grandma's cottage with sauna

A 100-year-old log cabin with amenities in the courtyard of the main house for year-round living. For guests staying several nights during the heating season, in addition to electricity, there is oven heating. Wood is ready, guidance or heating if needed. Good road connections. Outokumpu is about 10 minutes away and Joensuu is about 30 minutes away. Koli is about an hour away and Valamo Monastery is about 30 minutes away by car. In addition, there is a dog cage outside with a small hut.
