Located two miles from downtown Keene Valley, and at 1800 feet, this is an ideal place for those who prefer the quiet forest, the peaceful sound of a mountain brook, and possibily seeing animals.

The River Cabin is a simple but beautiful original log home that has a gorgeous view of Schroon River and Schroon Falls. It is privately located on a quiet lot but also only 200 feet off of Route 9. This cabin was built in 1977, by our family. It has access to a private swimming hole where you can kayak, swim, fish or just hang out. This cabin has a full kitchen, living room with propane fire place, 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The basement has a unique game room with poker table and bar.

During the summer the beach area is shared with the other 2 cabins on the property. The space has its own thermostat for heat and an air conditioner available as well for a the summer months. Our cozy apartment attached to our garage can sleep 2 guests and provides a unique western vibe with views of our horses from the bedroom window. The property is roomy and private but also has two main houses and two barns within sight. We are 8 minutes from the Schroon Lake village with the river within walking distance to swim, kayak or tube in. This is also a great location for many of the tourist attractions like hiking, boating, fishing, skiing/snowboarding and snowmobiling.

This charming pet friendly house was the perfect getaway. The house was clean, cozy and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Traffic is minimal on the road helping enhance the atmosphere of solitude. The view from the house is incredible. We kayaked Beaver Pond right from the dock, which is literally steps from the back door. Would definitely go again.

The LOON. Cabin 1, A cozy, vintage cabin

This was my second time coming back to Loon Cabin. It is a PERFECT get away for 2 people (and 1 dog) ;) the cabin is small but quaint, the screen porch area we made our own little spot for games and morning coffee. It’s the perfect walking distance from the town and perfectly placed on a dead end street with a small beach right on Schroon Lake. Linda is the perfect host, easy to get in contact with, extremely accommodating, she does a great job keep up the cabin, everything works, and she provides many amenities. If you’re looking for a long weekend away in a quiet ADK town, Schroon and Loon Cabin is it! Can’t wait to come back next year!

Very nice accommodations. Enjoyed the living room (large) and fireplace, it warmed the room quickly. Beautiful hardwood floors throughout. Great setting, quiet and private, close to Village of Schroon Lake and many fishing and hiking opportunities. Fire pit and barbecue in back yard. I needed to turn "wi-fi calling" on (my phone) to get coverage. It worked fine. Lodge has fast, dependable wi-fi and Roku TV. Thanks Chuck, see you again! -Jerry
