We have been coming to Celo every year for at least 9-10 years. After hurricane Helena came through we worried for this community. That being said the house is as always immaculately clean. The outside shower will wash away your blues. The need for electronics disappears and your family is able to reconnect. The river, though changed, still holds adventures, swimming, and fishing. Can’t wait to return next year.

This place was amazing ! having the hot tub by the river in the colorado breeze is amazing . i highly suggest! my party and i had arrived superrrr late, and james had made sure my party and i had made it safely . James is a good host! overall a good guy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

It was such a peaceful, beautiful place to stay. The cabin was pristine and had everything we could ever need. Chrissy was so responsive and helpful with the check in. We will definitely be back again!

Our family thrived at Liz’s cabin! The river was perfect for my younger kids—calm and shallow in most areas, great for first-time kayakers. For more adventure, we tried paddling upstream, which was a fun challenge and a great life lesson in perseverance! Downstream and around the cabin is smooth and peaceful, perfect for kids. I recommend bringing a cooler with simple meal ingredients. I packed sandwich supplies but wished I’d brought more—vodka pasta would be ideal here! I made a quick run into town for spaghetti, but options are limited (as Liz notes in her very helpful guide). We also had dinner at Pokegama Lakeside—great food, a beautiful lake view, and an authentic Native American canoe on display! Liz has created a truly magical place. The natural landscaping, cozy cabin details, and high-quality linens made it so comfortable. Thank you, Liz, for such a special stay!

This place is truly a little slice of heaven on Earth. Quiet, peaceful, and you basically have a little part of the river to yourself. The house is so thoughtfully designed and just beautiful. The hosts are amazing and super accommodating. We were super sad to leave and hope to come back in the future!

Dana and her husband were great hosts and very helpful with places to eat and things to do in the area! Very friendly and Lucy (the poodle) knows exactly how to greet you every time you come through the door. Awesome views and an overall great place to relax and unwind for a weekend! Will be back again!

This is the third time we've stayed here on our way across the country to see family, and it is always a highlight. The kids love having room to run around and explore a bit, the accommodations are very comfortable, and Scott is a great host. The porch area is a lovely place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the shade and watch the kids goof off in the hammock. We'll be back!

Cannot say enough good things about Moose Haven. Spectacular views, so much wildlife, peaceful surroundings, the cabin itself was cozy and clean and had everything I needed. The Stone Cabin came highly recommended from a friend. After visiting and staying for a weekend I can truly appreciate and understand why. My wife and I reserved the cabin for our anniversary weekend. We heard it was a place to disconnect from the world at large and connect to each other and the outdoors. The cabin made it feel like stepping back to a simpler time and a slower pace. Renee met us at the gate and led us back into the property, a fire already started at the fire pit outside the cabin. Since it was our first time visiting she showed us what we needed to do for lighting and stove use, asked us if we had any questions, provided us with information to reach her if we needed anything, and then wished us a wonderful weekend.A must see is the sunset at the gate. Bring some snacks and drinks and enjoy the gorgeous view, make yourself a little fire there if you want to. My wife and I absolutely loved this place and already started talking about a return trip.

Gale went above and beyond to make this an amazing visit! She had tasty treats available upon our arrival (asked about any food allergies ahead of time), gave great recommendations for the next leg of our trip, and served us a great breakfast before we hit the road again. We will be sure to come this way again!!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the incredibly friendly and accommodating host, Tim, who made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. The cabin itself is a beautiful blend of rustic charm and timeless character. Waking up to the sound of birds singing in the trees was pure serenity. The surrounding forest is lush and full of life, perfect for morning walks, afternoon reading in the shade, or simply sitting by the river with a cup of coffee. Tim went above and beyond to make us feel at home—offering great local tips, sharing stories about the cabin’s history, and even leaving us a personal note. If you're looking to unplug, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a truly unique and peaceful retreat, this cabin is a hidden gem. Came here with my partner for my birthday. We had so many plans to go do things for example going to San Antonio. We decided just to stay and relax after getting to the bunkhouse. We enjoyed the privacy, the peaceful surroundings and all of the nature. Loved the set up of the house. It was a very cozy vibe, and it was lovely to be able to take a bath and that huge tub water was definitely hot and enjoyable. Seeing all of the animals was such a plus the sunsets are breathtaking. We even got to experience a little storm and that was awesome being Stuck in the house watching a movie and just enjoying our time. Would definitely recommend staying here especially if you’re wanting to get away from the city life. We would definitely come back. Also the town Boerne was very cool. Had a lot to do for it being a small town we recommend trying the huge cinnamon roll the size of your face at Richter Bakhaus. Relaxing in the pool with that view is something we miss and hope to experience again soon

Perfect for two families traveling for F1. I liked the separate space of the mother-in-law suite. The pool was amazing.

Arriving at this Janice and Tom’s cabin, our jaws were on the floor. The cabin itself is gorgeous, surrounded by nature and with a wrap around porch to enjoy the sounds of the river and watch fireflies light up at dusk. The pool and pool house are where we spent most of our time. With lounge chairs, a fridge for snacks and drinks and views of the pond and forest, it was a great place to spend our days and cool off. Janice and Tom were communicative, helpful and kind! We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend to those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle. It was an incredible place to reconnect with friends and with nature. Thank you so much Janice and Tom!!

Beth was a fantastic host, and we had an amazing stay! Beth provided clear, detailed information that made our check-in and the entire stay smooth and stress-free. The location couldn’t be better—so many great restaurants and fun family activities are just minutes away. We visited Gator Beach to feed alligators, went to Uncle Buck’s for bowling, visited the Gulfarium, rode go-karts at The Track, and always spent the evening on the beach to watch the sunset. Beach access was super easy, and we loved being able to walk out and enjoy the sand and ocean anytime we wanted. The view from the condo was absolutely beautiful—waking up to that every morning was a treat. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking to relax and enjoy all that Destin has to offer!

This was a great space for our little family to getaway and unplug. Plenty to do for fun, and perfect space for peace and relaxation. Highly recommend this sweet little paradise!

The barn was beautiful and well decorated. They have games to play and plenty of areas to relax including a swing, fireplace, tank pool, and a reading nook. The host were sweet and generous, offered for us to check in early. The grounds are peaceful. The animals were a little skittish to the touch at first but warmed up after a couple of times, they do love the carrots though. We would highly recommend staying here.

Barry & Donna’s treehouse was an amazing stay for our 1st Wedding Anniversary! Perfect place for a weekend getaway with incredible views and a super easy drive to Sequioa National Park! Will definitely be staying here again!
