This cute white cottage with a thatched roof is like from a fairy tale book! As if you really live in authentic Giethoorn. (North) The boats can be rented from the neighbors and the beautiful bridges can be found only a 6-minute walk away. This is where Giethoorn originated, and the oldest houses along the path are located here. No crowds of tourists. (They’re in Giethoorn Zuid.) Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquility and the beauty of the old village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

Nearby are the Drentse Koloniën van Weldadigheid (Unesco World Heritage) with beautiful villages such as Frederiksoord (Museum De Proefkolonie). You can enjoy hiking, biking and swimming in the Aekingermeer.

You can also walk from the cottage to a nice swimming pool in about 20 minutes.
