We loved our time at Maggie’s place. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful! The place is exactly as described and has everything you need for a wonderful stay in the mountains. We loved how private it was and it is a short drive to Haenertsburg, Magoebaskloof and hiking trails. Beautiful interior space with great views of the mountains and waterfall. The sink hot tub is a lovely experience and in the perfect spot. We will definitely be back and are already planning our next stay. Thank you Maggie!

The place was beautiful and very clean. The support staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time. There was a generous amount of bedding for in case we were cold and a generous supply of firewood to keep the living room cozy.

If you’re looking for peace, fresh air, views and silence that make you hear your own brain reboot, Jacobus’s place is it. Yes, the road in is a bit of an adventure - but if it hasn't been raining I reckon you can do it in any Avis car. Nevertheless, Jacobus gives crystal-clear directions. Even I didn’t get lost! The house is pure magic: cozy fireplace, wifi good enough to take a Zoom call, and nature so beautiful you’ll consider throwing your laptop into the forest. I booked for a few days, stayed for 10, and only left because someone else beat me to it. Already planning my return!

What a magical place to stay at. Very private. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, time just flew past.

Clive is such a gem of a host, and was more than accommodating. He gave us ideas to do on Saturday to get out, we went to see his wedding venue on the property which was amazing. And he made us an amazing supper on Saturday night, and the breakfasts were just as delicious. We are definitely going to use Clive's place again.

Wow! What an absolutely amazing place and such wonderful hosts. The cabin is well equipped for a self catering stay, we had a braai and fire every evening. Frans and Louis were so genuinely kind and friendly, always going out of their way to help us. Being able to walk out of the property and be in nature, giraffes, zebra and impala just there and to be able to play in the river was amazing. My daughter (nearly 8 years old) didn't want to leave and wants to return!!!

What an amazing place!! We loved every moment. The house, the stoep, the boma and the deck were truly a treat. The area is so peaceful. We managed to do some spectacular birding from the deck and heard the laughing hippos. The Letaba river never disappoints. Featherbrook cottage is worth every penny. Thank you Mark, Fleur, Lumbi and Accra for your friendliness and hospitality. We loved every minute of our stay! We can’t wait to visit again!

We absolutely loved the cabin, and the view. The bird life is wonderful and sitting on the balcony was peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely book again; it is private and the nature allows us the rewind even if we went for work. The room was cozy, with a lovely fireplace and the kitchen was everything you need.
