Kaakilan Helmi is a high-class cottage completed in 2018. In the cottage, you can enjoy the tranquility of the countryside, whether you're on vacation, on a business trip, or otherwise just passing by. The cottage is located about 40km west of the E75 road and on the way north we are about half way to Finland and the link to Haapajärvi does not extend your trip much. From the large windows and terrace of the cottage, the landscape opens directly to the lake from the living room, bedroom, and sauna. From the sauna, you'll dip right into the lake to cool off.

This lovely studio offers a peaceful setting for a one-night stop or a longer stay. The room has a so-called dry kitchen, which has a kettle & coffee maker and a microwave. The guest also has access to the shared kitchen on the lower floor, which is better equipped. The room has its own toilet and shower and the basement sauna facilities are also available. The forest trail starts right from the yard and on the other side of the road is the clean-watered Pyhäjärvi. The building hosts Hymyjooga yoga classes and sound bowl relaxation.

The nearest neighbor is about 600 meters away. The cottage has solar electricity for charging phones and a gas refrigerator. Water from our own well (water not tested), either with an electric pump or by carrying it. The cottage has basic cooking utensils. Pets are welcome. Bed linens and towels are included in the cottage rental price.

Take it easy at this cozy and tranquil getaway. The cabin with a lakeside sauna on the shore of little Kuusaanjärvi is a great and cozy place to relax. The place is only about 15 kilometers off Highway 4, so it's also a great place to stay for those passing through on longer trips. The cottage is in the courtyard of the farm, but in its own peaceful setting. The small main cabin has a pull-out couch (160 cm). There's also a small kitchenette with a microwave, a kettle, a coffee maker, and a refrigerator.

A large terrace and barbecue are available. You can rent a hot tub or a smoke sauna in the yard separately. Extra beds can be booked as shared accommodation in the main building. Extra mattresses are also available for children. Space to move and play in the yard. In the common areas, there is the possibility of using the kitchen and washing machine.

The cottage has Wi-Fi, an air-source heat pump, a refrigerator, a freezer, an oven, and a water heater for domestic water. The outbuilding has a sauna, a shower, a flush toilet, and a fireplace room. Outside there is a small patio and a fire pit, and a rowboat is also available for guests to use. The village of Lestijärvi is about 15 km away, and Kinnula is about 20 km away.

The lake is shallow and sandy, where it is safe for children to swim. There is a small summer sauna near the beach, where you can warm up while swimming. There are swimming mats and summer games for children.

Our cottage is suitable for one or few night stay. There are 3 rooms for sleeping and in the living room there is a office corner. Our family uses this cottage very often so there is basic household appliance as well as some spices, salt, rice, flours etc. which you may use. Principle in renting this cottage is that everyone makes their own bed and cleans their own mess. Please take your own linens with you. You may also rent our linens for extra cost of 5 €/person.
