Family-friendly vacation rentals in Nishitama District, Tokyo

We had a great stay! The apartment is located in a convenient location, walkable from the nearest station and across the street from a small supermarket. The interior was clean and minimal. The host was communicative and we were able to drop off our luggage before the check-in time and check in earlier since the cleaners finished early.

It is an excellent apartment to spend a few days in Tokyo, very close to the train station (5 min walk) many services nearby, nice neighborhood and very safe. Large, clean and comfortable apartment.

Haruo’s place is in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood with easy access to highways and attractions nearby Yamanashi! The traditional Japanese house with beautiful backyard (with views of the mt Fuji when weather allows) is all you need for a great getaway! Haruo is very friendly and greeted us on arrival and gave us nearby recommendations for places to see and eat! We would definitely be back whenever we visit yamanashi again!

Absolutely loved our stay at this traditional Japanese house. The space was clean, peaceful, and full of charm — tatami floors, shoji doors. Best of all, we were incredibly lucky to catch a clear view of Mount Fuji right from the backyard. Truly unforgettable. Would definitely stay again!

The host was very quick to respond. The location was perfect and quiet. Everything was close. I cant say enough good things.

Both the scallor and the family are very kind and friendly, and we are grateful for the situation and requests.We had delicious tea from the day of arrival and a lot of hospitality afterwards.The room was also very nice, and although it was not a one-floor rental, we had a comfortable stay.It was also close to the station, which was helpful.

Good place, near train station. It is located in a peaceful local town, minimal tourist and good facilities. Would be great if you prefer living in a less touristy area. Overall great stay

We were a party of 3 looking for an apartment with 2 separate bathrooms (toilets) which is hard to find when you only need 2 bedrooms. We needed privacy but still have a place to be together. This fit the bill exactly. The apartment is a detached house with 3 floors, in a quiet area a few minutes walk from Ikeburu station . The top and bottom floors have bedrooms and toilets while the middle floor has the kitchen, living/ dining area, shower and laundry. The stairs are steep, so that might be a problem for some people. The kitchen has all the basics, but we only needed it for our morning coffee, as there are lots of places to buy food and eat in the area. Unfortunately, there were only 2 coffee cups when we were there, which I understand has been remedied. The couches in the living/dining area were basic but not super comfy. All in all, it made a good base from which to see Tokyo. I would recommend this apartment to people who want both privacy and a communal area.

We had a very nice time in Nobu-san and Tatsuya-san apartment and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was superbly furnished and Shibuya can be reached comfortably within 15-20 minutes on foot. Communication was just as fabulous. Thank you for your hospitality :) Best regards, Enrico

Yukari was more than a host, she is a friend. She is kind, friendly, helpful and very responsive. She picked us up at the station and also dropped us off when we departed. Japan is a great place to visit for its beauty, culture and especially the people. It’s our number one favorite country to come back again and again Thank you Yukari for allowing us to stay at your place and for being so nice to us

Satoshi is a fantastic host—very responsive and accommodating to all my questions. The entire process, from booking to check-in and check-out, was smooth and hassle-free. The property itself is cozy, sweet, and feels just like home. Satoshi thoughtfully provided everything we needed, including towels, bottled water, tea, and more. My daughter especially loved the lovely scent of the soaps and shampoos! The elevator was a great convenience, and the heater was a lifesaver during the colder moments. The location is perfect—just a short walk to Nishikawaguchi Station and close to several convenience stores. We also appreciated the nearby halal restaurants, which made things easier for us. We had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to coming back again!

It was a last-minute reservation, but they handled it very nicely. Everything you need for a barbecue, such as plates, nets, and charcoal, was provided, so I was able to visit with peace of mind.Also, it was helpful that the refrigerator and other items were in a position where you could touch them with your shoes on. It took time to boil the water for the open-air bath, but it was a very nice experience.The house itself had a very good atmosphere and was clean, so we had a pleasant stay.

Good place , near Haneda , on JY and JK Line by Chidorico train . Chieko was really Nice sadly I dont get Time to meet :( .

Wonderful stay at Cathy's place. It was such a great experience - Cathy is so kind, helpful and easy to communicate with, one of the best hosts I have ever come across. I really appreciated her practical tips on logistics, she was even gracious enough to allow for a late checkout, which really made a huge difference to my last day in Tokyo. And I loved Cathy's place too - it has a very authentic, local feel to it - and I (almost) felt like a local living there. It is an oasis of peace and quite, so very welcome when you get a total sensory overstimulation after visiting Tokyo's hotspots. The area is very residential and very safe, even when walking late at night. I always looked forward to coming back to 'my' little place to rest and chill after busy days of sightseeing etc. My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer, but I will definitely be going back to Tokyo, to Cathy's place for sure.

The place was much bigger than I imagined. The host was super friendly and even got my cat some gifts. The neighborhood is very safe, and you can easily reach the Keio line, and with about 30 minutes, be in Shibuya or Shinjuku.

Place was better than advertised. Very clean, well organized, large and spacious. The host Eric is responsive with providing directions and other periodic messaging regarding checkin and checkout procedures. That and reached out to us to ensure we had everything we needed prior to arriving. Absolutely zero issues while staying there. Local rail station very close and convenient when wanting to venture outside the Shinjuku area. Thank you Eric for hosting us and if my wife and I venture to Japan again next year. Sincerely hope that your place is available as I’d definitely stay there again.

It’s truly an experience to live like a Tokyo local. It was my first time being asked to tidy everything in the room before checkout—and I actually did it, even sorting all the recycling properly. I really liked the house, especially since I used almost everything in the kitchen. I also enjoyed the bedroom; the bed was very comfortable. The nearby Seiyu supermarket was one of the places I visited most often. 東京の人々のように生活するのは、本当に特別な経験でした。チェックアウト前に部屋を片付けるように言われたのは初めてで、実際にすべてをきれいにし、リサイクルもきちんと分別しました。この家はとても気に入りました。キッチンのほとんどすべてのものを使ったほどです。ベッドルームも快適で、寝心地の良いベッドでした。近くの西友スーパーは、最もよく行く場所の一つでした。

Yukio had a really nice place, and they are a very nice person to speak with. We had a small leak, but Yukio was able to get it fixed the next day. For tourists, keep in mind that trash will need to be separated.

We loved staying here. It’s a 2 min walk from Kita-in and Narita San, and 15 from Koedo old town and both train stations. There’s parking which was amazing for family stopping by. The front rooms get lots of sun and was warm in the winter. We LOVED the kotatsu! While it says it accommodates many guests, there was a lack of plates as well as kitchen items to accommodate like soup bowls. We were a family of 4 who ate in and cooked all meals so if you’re out mostly it shouldn’t be an issue. Beds are roll out single person size and good if you like hard beds.

Chiaki's home is right in middle of a residential area. 3-4 mins of walk will get you to the nearest metro, family mart, supermarket and pharmacy. Also there is a yakiniku restaurant (non Halal) nearby too. As with all Japan Homes, space is quite tight especially if u are big build. The nearest metro is 2 stops away from the main ikebukuro station where u can find all other lines. Very convenient.

It is an inn that I would like to stay again and again.
