We had a very nice time. Even though we asked for BBQ at the last minute, they prepared it so that even we amateurs could do it. In the slight chill, I had a very good experience that was delicious and fun while warming myself by the fire. The time flew by with the warm welcome of the sign dog. My dog at home also had too much fun and fell fast asleep on the way home. It is a lovely place to stay, and I would definitely stay again.

Safa's Guest House

Comfortable and cozy home with everything needed for longer stays. Fast and stable wifi, well equiped kitchen, close enough to town without being in the touristic stream. Safa was a great host, answering our doubts and sharing recommendations about the city.

A house that feels like returning to a nostalgic hometown

JohnnyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
I have to say that this is the highlight of this trip in Japan. Mitsuru san friendly welcomed me even I arrived early in the morning. He introduced his house and how he enjoyed his life living in country side. After some discussion, we decided to go somewhere deep inside the mountain that foregine travellers could hardly found. We had a delicious lunch and went to take a bath in an onsen that a solo traveller relying on pulic transport like me can never reach. What really inspires me is our conversation during the drive in his car which was so fruitful and informative ( I can only speak poor Japanese, but Mitsuru san would listen and gradually explain to me by his fluent English), which helps me to understand more in local life and culture. I have to express my deepest gratitude to Mitsue san(Mitsuru san's wife) for making a fascinating dinner using local food for me. I would greatly recommend here to travellers seeking for a closer experience in Japan countryside lifestyle !
The modern exterior of the cottage is illuminated at night, highlighting its sleek design. Warm lights cast a soft glow on the entrance and balcony, while textured stone accents provide an appealing contrast. The surrounding area features greenery and a well-maintained pathway leading to the entrance.

Good'en Inn - Spacious entire home accommodation

Super helpful host & memorable stay. We were stuck in the snowfall on 31-Dec-2021. Jamie was a savior for us. He came to our rescue, assisted us in buying tire chains, fitting them and dropping us to the hotel. The next day, he helped us drive to and from from a nearby ski resort, drive us to our parking. He was ever ready for our help, for almost everything. Our kids accidentally locked one of the rooms, and he helped us unlock the room. Our stay from 31-Dec to 2-Jan, was a total mayhem with snowstorm. He was always helping his neighbors in various issues due to the snowstorm mayhem. We would highly recommend Jamie and his Inn !

Meiji Era Traditional House near Kagura "Arimaya"

It was my second stay. Great response as last time As soon as you ask, you'll get a quick response, and you can quickly resolve the issue, so you can rest assured In addition, the inn is a historic building with a large number of rooms, making it suitable for large groups. There were futons for the number of people (including beds), bath towels, and hand towels, and the room was kept at the right temperature, and I had a pleasant stay from that time I checked in. A lot of kitchen utensils are also provided, so you can prepare meals smoothly There is also a bath, but this time I used a hot spring facility called "Kaido-no-Yu", which is a few minutes away by car. It's nice to get into the hot springs right after skiing and snowboarding It was 5 cars, but I was able to park at the last minute I'd love to use it again Thank you.

I used it for the first time♪ Six of us stayed with friends, but everyone said, "It's more beautiful than the photos!"Everyone was very satisfied♪ The barbecue outside was also great! The weather was nice in the morning, so we all meditated on the balcony while listening to the birds and were able to recharge our minds.♪ I'd love to stay again♪ Thank you very much (^ people ^)

We really enjoyed our stay at this very comfortable lodge in the beautfiul mountain scenery. The owner himself is also very friendly and helpful. When a member of our group lost something in Kijimadaira village, he drove us to the town to pick it up and back to the lodge again. We warmly recommend this airbnb to any tourists visiting Kijimadaira.
