Family-friendly vacation rentals in Newfoundland

Joel’s place was exactly as described! Was a piece of heaven and the hot tea b was always a great way to finish off a day of hiking. There is a binder there that is full of so much info about local shops and hikes and medical stuff and groceries, etc - I just loved that binder!! Chateau Shady loop was a great starting point to all areas of Gros Morne while also being close to groceries and bigger shops of Deer Lake. Joel replies within minutes to any specific questions we had. The place was spotless when we arrived. The sunsets in the hot tub and watching Stanley Cup hockey in the super comfortable rec room chairs were definitely highlights - thank you and we hope to come back some day!!

We had an amazing girls weekend at Goose Cove Retreat! The pictures do not do justice on how beautiful the home and grounds are. Gerry was a great host and answered all our questions. We can’t wait to come back!

We loved our stay at this chalet! The place was very clean and had lots of kitchen supplies. We especially enjoyed our time on the deck and there was plenty of furniture and space for us to use. We will miss having morning coffee on the deck with the amazing view!

Place was perfect for our needs. Hot tub was great after all the hiking and kids loved it. Place had the required necessities and Andre and his partner were wonderful people. Very helpful and gave us some good tips. Worth a stay if you want to be off the grid but wifi is there should you need it :) It’s only 20 minutes from Deer Lake and right off the highway towards Rocky Harbour and Tablelands, so very central to go in either direction.

We had a great time staying at this beautiful and spacious home. The location was very convenient and surrounded by stunning nature. We even caught some brook trout nearby! The host was kind and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

My friends and I stayed in Jeff’s cottage for a golf trip. The house was very spacious and we loved that the bedrooms had their own ensuites. The hot tub came in very nice during the evenings. Overall a great experience and we would be happy to stay again.

My husband and I celebrated an early anniversary and Joan’s place was exactly what we wanted and needed. It’s very private and peaceful and provided everything we needed for a night getaway.

Wonderful stay at this cute, cozy place. We felt right at home. Comfortable rooms and beds; great sleep, quiet area. The Beach House had everything we needed. It was great to put the kettle on, have a tea, do some laundry and watch the Stanley cup game. Stunning sunset and view of thevm bay. Penny's a responsive host.

We had a wonderful stay here visiting Gros Morne National Park. The cabin was perfectly sized for a couple. The area is beautiful and quiet with a short hiking trail nearby, and is in a great spot to explore Gros Morne.

Our favorite Airbnb on our Newfoundland trip. Lexie left freshly baked cookies, the place was clean, the view was lovely and so peaceful. If we ever come back, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Wonderful little place with all the amenities required, would have loved some coffee mate though. Clean and right on the ocean where we were able to see the icebergs and sunsets right from our front porch. Good shower and comfortable beds. Nice big parking spot with the property .

We loved our 2-night stay at Marjorie’s place. It was exactly as shown in the listing and very comfortable. Marjorie was very responsive and let us know when we could check in as we had asked for an early checkin, if possible. Would definitely recommend this lovely homey apartment, truly a home away from home! I would love to stay again when visiting St. John’s.

The Airbnb was amazing for our family weekend in St John's. Lots of beds and bathrooms spread across 4 levels of the house for some privacy on each level. We managed to find a street parking spot right outside the house every day. The host was responsive and helpful every time we contacted them. We had a logistical issue upon check-in that the host resolved quickly, empathetically and fairly. I recommend slippers for the basement bedroom users for the floor but the bed is extremely warm & cozy.

Fantastic spot with a view! Tons of walking and hiking options, especially the Skerwink. Also about 1 minute walking to the wonderful Port Rexton Brewery. Couldn’t be in a better location!

Thank you for lovely stay! It was nice and quiet. We were able to walk in town from the cottage and enjoy the view. Great little coffee shop too!

Kim's place was beautiful, clean, cozy and decorated for Christmas which was a beautiful touch for anyone not being home for Christmas!

Our stay was very pleasant. We loved the hiking trails and the view from the living room window! Nellie and Rueben were very friendly and helpful. They made us feel so welcome in this lovely little community.

Great location, comfy room, walking distance to downtown and a Tim Hortons across the street. Richard and Catherine were very friendly and hospitable. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

The views from the deck are amazing! Feels like your own private cove. The house is super cute and was perfect for our stay. The beds were so comfy, the bathroom was nice and clean and the kitchen had everything we needed with great quality cookware. The washer and dryer was so nice! We were 2 weeks into our Newfoundland road trip adventure during our stay and the ability to wash our clothes was priceless! Wish we had been able to take advantage of the kayaks, but it was SO windy that it didn't seem like the best idea. Didn't put a damper on things though, there was plenty to keep us busy! We thoroughly enjoyed all Twillingate had to offer and did a day trip to Fogo Island. This is such a great spot and will definitely be booking again next time we're in the area!

We’re already contemplating a return trip and would highly recommend this rental. The area could not be more peacful and is absolutely beautiful. There are grocery stores, restaurants, gas and a liquor store nearby. The decking and multiple chairs are a great feature. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom spacious. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. Wifi was strong and the smart tv worked well. Concerns or questions were answered immediately by the host and Jerdon next door was helpful and a great neighbour.

Booked for technicians working in the area, they had such good things to say about this place. Very cozy and settled in nicely. No complaints. Would book again!
