Really nice apartment for a few days away. On a street right in the middle of town, so restaurants and the Abbey are practically on the doorstep, but it was also quiet. Easy to find and to get in. Lovely flat with all the facilities you need for cooking, etc.

I had a fantastic stay. The apartment was lovely and had everything you would need and more! Ben was very helpful and responsive. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The setting was perfect too—peaceful, charming, and a great base for exploring the area. What really made the experience stand out were the hosts. Super friendly and welcoming, with incredible local knowledge that totally upgraded my trip. From hidden gems to the best spots to eat and explore, their tips made all the difference. geweldig verblijf, hele goede bedden! in de zitkamer staat een leuke bank, maar het zit niet goed. Deze zou ik vervangen als ik jou was Sophie. De electrische rolstoel kon opgeladen worden in de garage!! Geweldig! Daar is ook een vriezer aanwezig. Heel handig. de rust in de omgeving is opvallend. Je bent in 10 min.bij alle winkels, heel fijn! Een aanrader!!

A beautiful apartment fully equipped, warm and very comfortable. The apartment was spotlessly clean and in the perfect location for visiting Alnwick. The rooms were spacious and a supermarket was just 2 minutes walk away. As an EV driver I would recommend the rapid Ionity chargers at Cawledge business park 1.8 miles from the property in preference to the ac chargers adjacent to the Malthouse which had a 4 hr time limit and charged at 11 KW max. The owner’s communication was prompt and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this property.

This place was an absolute gem! we loved the location and the house was just amazing. The garden was stunning. Joan was really helpful and friendly! I would definitely like to stay there again.

We had a wonderful time! We were a group of six who hadn’t been away together before. We loved the spaciousness of the house, nobody was on top of each other. Plenty of utensils, (apart from the BBQ) towels etc and the views were spectacular albeit a tad too far from Rothbury and civilisation! All in all excellent!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The wonder historic house that Marion and John shared with us is absolutely stunning. The house & space has so much character yet provides all the modern amenities. Lots of room for the four of us. A plus was being out in the English countryside, yet within reasonable travel to all the main attractions was just perfect. The incredible views sitting in the backyard with a tea, coffee or adult beverage was just a slice of heaven. Pictures on site can't do it justice. Just wish there were less clouds to enjoy the dark sky and stars. John shared a ton of historical knowledge of the house, the land and the region which my wife just ate up being a history buff herself. Wish we could have stayed longer. A real Gem.

Scott was an amazing host who gave detailed information before arrival which was perfectly timed. He also sent a message to check everything was okay shortly into our stay. The house itself was incredibly comfortable and homely with lovely amenities. All products were high quality such as the cooking utensils, duvet, mattress etc which makes such a difference to a stay. Everything was really thought out as well with plenty of space to put our own food and belongings and properly settle in for the week. A gorgeous location perfectly situated for all the best bits of Northumberland to explore. I cannot recommend this cottage enough. If you book, look out for the barn owl who is nested in the trees at the bottom left of the field.

What an outstanding Airbnb! The property itself was super stylish, incredibly well thought out and had everything you could have wanted for a few nights stay. The bed was incredible comfortable and so was all the linen and towels. Deborah was a wonderful host who had left a folder with great recommendations - we tried some of them and they were great. I don't normally spend too much time in an Airbnb but we felt so comfortable and at home here, that we spent an evening watching a movie. The location is also perfect - a short stroll to restaurants, pubs and the heart of Hexham. Great parking for 1 car too! I'd stay here in a heartbeat!

The photos do not do the place justice - it is absolutely beautiful and so thoughtfully decorated. So much bigger than it looked online too and we had a great stay. The only issue we had was that the hot water stopped working mid way through the day. Elizabeth was super helpful and responsive to the problem but we had to be in Newcastle for early evening so it meant 6 of our party had to have freezing cold showers one day as the water took too long to come back on. Other than that, I can’t fault it. Surroundings are beautiful. So peaceful and yet close to shops, airport (25 mins), a gorgeous spa (matfen hall), and a 35 min minibus to Newcastle. Would recommend to all.

We really loved Jo's place. Central location, perfect to walk into town or the beach, nice and quiet street with ample parking. The house was perfect for 3 adults and 2 children. Really well equipped kitchen, plenty of games for the children. Cosy lounge and comfy beds. We hope to be back soon. thank you so much.

A smart, modern apartment, very well equipped, walkable to the local bars, pubs and shops. Cannot complain.

We had a great stay at this spacious flat. It was absolutely spotless and well equipped. The check in was quick and easy. Neil was very quick to respond to our query during our stay. It was so close to the Metro too so getting into town was really quick. So close to the supermarkets too. Can’t fault it! Definitely recommend! Thanks Neil

A beautiful downstairs apartment, fitted out with everything we needed. In a great location so close to Almwick centre but in a so quiet neibourhood. Parking in the street is a bit limited but we always managed either on the free carpark or just outside of the residents zone. Host Linda was easy to contact and responsive even though really we had no issues. All in all, first class accommodation and we have no hesitation in recommending Hotspur House as a great place to stay.

Very comfortable, everything you could need was provided. Helpful information in folder within the apartment which answered all the questions about the apartment and the area. Parking easy with clear instructions provided. Amazing view of castle and great to watch the lighting of the beacon in remembrance of VE Day from window. All in all, a great apartment in a great location with seamless communication with owners. Thank you.

Die Unterkunft war super. Sie ist gross und hat alles was man brauchen könnte. Sie ist top gelegen und die Parkplätze im der Umgebung sind kostenlos mit der Parkscheibe aus der Wohnung. Das Bett war bequem und wir haben es geliebt den Abend nach einem langen Tag auf dem grossen und gemütlichen Sofa ausklingen zu lassen. Barry war sehr zuvorkommend und immer super erreichbar. Wir hatten eine Frage bezüglich einer Pfanne und er hat uns direkt am nächsten Tag eine neue gebracht. Wir haben die Unterkunft geliebt!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at John’s flat in Alnwick. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped. John’s instructions on use of the house were extremely clear and thorough. Parking was very convenient and free. It was a very short walk to downtown Alnwick. I will add that out of the dozens of AirBnBs and other short term rental properties we have stayed at, this one ranks very close to the top. We will definitely seek it out during future visits to the Northumberland area.

We stayed in this lovely apartment for a long weekend celebrating with family who live locally. The apartment was perfect, great location, clean, and just want we needed. The hot tub was a complete win with our children. The courtyard is private and a real sun trap. We will be back.

We booked this apartment for a central location with good parking nearby. Leslie is an amazing host and responded really well to any q’s we had The flat is well furnished and very comfortable it has everything you need & has lots of added extras, beautiful toiletries, plenty of towels, tea/coffee etc and milk in the fridge We all enjoyed our stay and would return and recommend this flat.
