Hawkins Hideout Luxury Cabin, Wi-Fi, Hot Tub!

DanielleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This place was exactly what my friend and I needed; private, peaceful, and in the middle of nowhere in the best way possible. If you’re someone who loves the idea of going off-grid for the weekend but absolutely hates traditional camping (like me lol), this is your glamping dream come true. And the hot tub? 10/10. Just a quick PSA for future guests: BYOS (bring your own strainer) unless you want to get real creative with how you drain spaghetti. Also, toss in a few extra towels!! Will absolutely come back again. This spot is TRULY a hidden gem!

MarilynRating, 5 stars7 months ago
It is a great cabin for big families and pet owners. The area is private and you can enjoy the nature around. Our dogs and kids enjoyed running around. We enjoyed grilling and some time unplugged from the daily routine. The cabin, kitchen and bathrooms were clean and had the essentials. Host was also responsive and provided answers to our questions.

Lake Cabin and Treehouse

SarahRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Michael’s place was the perfect weekend getaway! The home is even more beautiful than the photos, and the views made it feel like we were in the mountains. The property felt private and peaceful — we barely saw anyone, which was perfect for traveling with our dogs. The treehouse area across the street gave us plenty of space to play fetch daily. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to cook dinners each night, which we really appreciated. Fishing from the dock was decent — we caught lots of small perch, a smallmouth and largemouth bass, though my dad lost quite a few hooks due to snagging, so we recommend stronger line, I was good with a 14lb line. A rowboat for fishing could be a great future addition! The 185 steps from the lake are no joke but worth having both the incredible mountain-like views while still having lake access. Michael was kind, responsive, and flexible, making our stay stress-free. We’d absolutely come back!

Tranquility and Comfort near the Manistee Forest

AlexandraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is our second time staying and we can't wait to go back! Cynthia is an absolutely amazing host. The location is wonderful, the cabin is perfect and it makes for the best trip away from the world. This last time we went with friends who rented the closest cabin and we had other friends who tent camped. We cooked over the fire and had a blast. We actually woke up on our check out date not wanting to leave, message Cynthia and ended up moving over to a tent camp space to stay one more night on the property. This will be your new favorite oasis. Also, Newaygo is adorable. Such a cute town with a local bar, brwery, jerky store, etc. The weekend we went there was a little fair downtown which was fun. You're right by the Muskeegan so you can salmon fish, rent tubes or kayaks, etc.

Infamous Winchester Mystery Cabin

NicRating, 5 stars22 months ago
Hosts were great with communication, pre-trip to throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again. We had a great stay! Nice cabin in a woodsy setting - you feel like you’re getting away from it all but are still within a short drive of gas and food (great pizza from Pompeii’s in Baldwin ~20 mins away). We watched so many Perseid shooting stars from the deck. Cabin was a good size for us (2 adults, teen, 45lb dog*). We brought groceries along for breakfast and most of our meals, and the kitchen had everything we needed. There’s an espresso machine(?) that can also make a pot of regular drip coffee. Window a/c units on Low easily kept the place cool in August. We went to the neighborhood beach every day and walked/swam in nice clear water with little fish. Fenced-in neighborhood playground across the street. * Dogs are not allowed at the local lake beach. We found dog-friendly beaches in Lake Michigan state parks ($) and a great dog beach in a North Muskegon park (free).
