Vacation rentals with a kayak in New London County

We loved the home and yard. Beautiful is the best description with so many seating options. The house is bright and inviting. The hosts have done a great job decorating and providing so many amenities not even listed. I would recommend this beautiful home to anyone wanting a place to relax and enjoy what is there.

The house felt like coming home. Everything you need was provided. The location is beautiful as is the surrounding area. We needed proximity to family and this was a perfect spot. All the amenities in the home were available and perfect for a weeklong stay. Thank you for a great stay!

Lynne's place is excellent. The house is vintage and not perfect, but it was exactly what we were looking for. There are lots of comfortable sleeping locations, several areas for people to spread out, multiple common areas for talking, 2 outside patio areas, and a fire pit with wood by the lake. The furniture is clean and comfortable throughout the house. Kitchen is fully stocked with plates, pans, accessories, etc. The outside grounds are beautiful and well kept. There are many natural borders to keep pets easily contained (no fence). Groceries and restaurants are about 10 minutes away, but when you are at Lynne's place, it is a very quiet area.

Fantastic cute spot in Old Saybrook. Key things for future guests to know - there is no A/C in the winter months so the air can get a bit stale / stuffy in the house. Plus there is no washing machine / dryer in the house, so defo bring enough clothes!

Great stay! Although it was a rainy weekend, we had a great weekend!! There were close restaurants and coffee shops and the house itself was perfect. Great aesthetic to the home, very cozy and relaxing.

This was such a cozy and inviting space. I was so impressed by the little touches literally everywhere I looked. It made it feel so much like a home and instantly made us feel comfortable. I cannot say enough about the amenities. We brought a few things from home but we really didn’t need to. This place has everything you could think of then some- especially with regard to outdoor enjoyment and beach equipment. We traveled with 12 year olds and 14 year olds and if you have kids in that age range, you know they aren’t easy to please! I got no complaints about being bored, everyone was happy with their space, and they especially loved being able to take our dogs. The host was wonderful and offered suggestions or help when we needed it. We would absolutely go back.

The house was beautiful and scenery breathtaking. We loved watching the ice fishing, skating and go carting on the lake! We even went out on the frozen lake! It was close to my daughter’s home in Voluntown…. Only 4 minutes away! The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond as we were there to celebrate my granddaughters’ first birthday! They left a gift for her and some welcome gifts for us too! Amazing!! They brought a table and chairs for extra seating!! Phil and Staci were amazing hosts and always responsive. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Staying at Daniela’s place was great! Super easy to find and get into the peaceful house on the pond. Even though it was pet friendly, the house was spotless and had no wear or tear from previous visitors. It was great that they had child gates at stairs too! The dog loved going out in the canoe and swimming in the pond! Great place overall!

Quaint home, we slept comfortably in the main bedroom. Beautiful surroundings and view off the deck. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of the area.

We had a great time at Great Gull’s! The location was perfect, walkable to all of the shops and restaurants. We even walked to the Seaport. Having the kayaks there was awesome, we enjoyed our first experience kayaking as a family! We loved walking to ice cream and bringing it back to sit on the patio and watch the bridge go up and down. I would highly recommend this place! And the owner, Gerard, was extremely attentive!

A truly lovely spot! Quiet, relaxing and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the water, reading on the patio in the lounge chairs and sitting on the bench overlooking the beach. We would love to come back again.

Loved our stay! This is a gem of a house—it’s gorgeously decorated and equipped with everything you need to feel immediately at home. Shelter Island is one of my favorite places and this home made it feel all the more special. Thank you, Christopher!

My sister, dog and I stayed at the cottage for the weekend and had a great experience! Erika is a wonderful host and the property is beautiful. The cottage itself was exactly as pictured. Breakfast in the inn, cooked with natural and organic ingredients, is an absolute must. The location of the inn is great as well, with direct access to the Lantern Hill trail (which our dog loved) and only a short drive from downtown. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This was a lovely cottage and location, part of a private beach community, on a very quiet road, with partial views of the Long Island Sound. Gail was thoughtful to put out a nice welcome basket and some cold sodas and bottle water in the fridge. Perfect spot for two to three people. Close to Guilford main green, dock and nearby Stony Creek and Madison. We didn't make use of the bikes and kayaks bc it rained in the mornings, but we enjoyed one of the two beach just a few minute walk away. Jacob's cove area is a gem.

Nice little spot with boats on the pond. Went there for my son’s Wesleyan graduation and could take family out on the kayaks.

For seven days, the earth stood still with me in this little cottage on the lake. Listening to the rain falling on the trees, watching the water ripple across the lake and feeling the breeze hit my face on the deck were what I needed to rest for a bit in this quiet oasis. Thank you, Jason, Adam and Xavier, for such a peaceful experience!

Clean and cozy cabin. Close to Mystic without being right in the thick of it. We enjoyed a night by the fire with a friendly local fisherman. It worked nicely for our short trip to the area.

We’re so glad we found Paul’s rentals at Stonington Marina! This is a wonderfully unique stay in a great area with lots to do, and Paul’s cottages at the marina provide a peaceful, homey place to relax and enjoy. It was great to kayak over to Sandy Point and enjoy the beach like a local. If you want to catch and prepare your own fish, he’s got the stuff for that in the patio/fire pit area. Or you can get some fresh catch in nearby Stonington borough. Otherwise there’s a host of excellent restaurants nearby and Paul’s recommendations will steer you well. The cottage itself was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Again, a great find!

We had the most peaceful, relaxing weekend at lakeside landing! The house itself is a 10 out of 10, absolutely adorable and had everything we could possibly need. The bed was sooo comfy and the views are just amazing! We enjoyed paddling around the lake during the day and the fire pit and hot tub at night! We didn’t leave the house once!! Highly recommend:)

Had a great time in this peaceful wonderful setting. Saw and heard maybe 40 bird species. (Using Merlin app). Frogs and turtles too!everything we needed! Beds are very comfortable!

Even though the weather wasn’t ideal during our stay, we had a wonderful time. Joe was great about checking to make sure we had all we needed for our long weekend stay. The house was stocked with everything you would need except for the food, and the kitchen was very clean! If you’re looking for privacy, rustic charm, and a lovely lake spot with a private dock just a few feet walking distance from the deck, this is the place. We all had a wonderful time.

The lake house is absolutely charming. We easily made our way around Coventry and UCONN. We enjoyed our evenings overlooking the lake. Our favorite was definitely the record player and disco lights, the neighbors hopefully enjoyed the light show through the windows!! lol Thank you for a great stay, see you again soon
