Welcome to the Pie House where years ago Helen sold her pies made from locally grown fruits to locals, tourists and those traveling to Mountaineer (then Waterford Downs) Casino/Racetrack This spacious home has reliable wifi, nice sized rooms and offers a bonus room on the second floor for use as office space/card room/cafe/cocktail area. The space has its own TV, dorm sized fridge and microwave. There’s a second coffee pot and kcup pot. The kitchen and cafe will offer kcups, creamer and sugar.

This stay was exactly what I needed. I was only in the area for one night but the host made sure I had everything I needed to have a good experience. the space was clean and well maintained. A storm rolled through and knocked down some trees across the road, but the host was very proactive with instructions and made sure that I was able to check in just fine. The scenery on the drive there as well as just outside the front door is beautiful

Modern Farmhouse (in town).

Kevin was a great host and was very understanding and accommodating. We drove from Minnesota and in our eagerness we arrived a little early for check in. Also, our plans changed while in route and we unfortunately had to leave a day earlier. We communicated this to Kevin and he got back to us right away and arranged for us to check in early enough to freshen up and get to the school in time for some pre-graduation events... He also changed our check out date and granted a refund for the same. Everything was fantastic… we were in town for College Graduation at Franciscan University (20 minute commute) and there were Graduation activities every day/all day. It was refreshing to come HOME each day to such an inviting and relaxing space. Each night, we often found ourselves saying, “it’s good to be home”. My wife and I would definitely recommend that you consider this home as your home away from home the next time you visit the Steubenville/Weirton/New Cumberland area.

We enjoyed the house very much. We came to visit my newborn granddaughter, son and DIL. We hunkered down all weekend and just hung out. The kitchen had everything we needed to make all our meals and snacks for the Superbowl. There was a mourning dove that we heard every morning which was very nice as well!

My husband stayed at Stony Oak Farm because he had work to do in the area. He said it was perfect for his time in the area.
