The Villa reminds of an interesting Curonian Spit period, when local fishermen dived into the tourism market - they started building residential houses adapted for recreation. It is the oldest villa in Preila with preserved residential and farm buildings and spacious yard, one of the first representative buildings which started tourism in the area. It belonged to Frederick Labrenz, the elder of the fishing village.
