Hotel Uhland - Superior Room

Hotel Uhland was my home for a month in Windhoek, and it was peaceful, friendly, and had everything I needed. The staff were excellent—and I left feeling that they were my friends. Also, for digital nomads, the WiFi speeds are 60 Mbps up and down, which makes video conferencing possible. The trees, shelters, and tables on the grounds also make outdoor working possible and pleasant. I would stay here again.

This is not the first time I have stayed at the Alternative Space and it won’t be the last. Sybille has always been an amazing host and continues to be so. The Space is wholesome, accommodating—and feels like home. A wonderful stay, as always. Thank you

The Alternative Space B & B

This is by far one of my most unique "airbnb experiences". A house which I'd rate as Swakopmund's gem - allowing to take a step back and immerse creatively. With the beautiful dunes around the corner, feel free to gaze the stars at night or just get lost amid the desert.. Sybille and Frenus are an incredible pair; they cater to all your needs and make you feel home in their oasis. It feels like you are wandering in a lush maze of flowers, art and deep conversations.

Alternative Space B & B

Our stay (as Frenus said) was short but sweet! We arrived late in Swakopmund and were grateful to still be able to book with Sybille. The room, and whole place, felt fancy for the price. The breakfast was really good. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The parking was a bit tight for our 4x4 but I parked outside without incident. The location was a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance to the center.

We had a wonderful stay at Sibylle and Frenus’s place ! The hosts were friendly and super responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. The decor was unique and charming, we also loved the self-catered breakfast — it was a perfect touch and made mornings so easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Sybille and Frenus are great hosts. The Alternative Space is a very special place, full of experiences, art, and books. It has a beautiful garden, perfect for relaxing after a long trip, and is ideally located for visiting Swakopmund and its beautiful surroundings. We loved our stay, and Sybille and Frenus were very helpful in providing information on activities in the area. They were exceptionally kind to our 3-year-old daughter, who loved the stay and the relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent. We would surely come back and recommend it to friends. Thank you! A highlight of our trip to Namibia.
