Villa vacation rentals in Myrthianos Plakias

Virginies house is just stunning and exudes quality in every way epitomised by the fabulous marble lined swimming pool. Everything is finished to a high standard. The location of the house is elevated with fabulous views over the immaculate grounds, surrounding olive groves and sea views. The shaded veranda was the perfect place to sit, read, enjoy a drink and of course the amazing view. As the house is quite remote my only advice would be getting there for the first time in the light as navigating there in the dark was a bit of a challenge. Plakias is known to be windy, and this was the case for our visit making it impossible to use the pool umbrellas. That said the wind was appreciated by us all helping us to keep cool in the August sun. The local beaches were beautiful with crystal clear warm water and stunning surrounds perfect for swimming and snorkelling. We also enjoyed a fabulous day sailing from Skafia so were also able to visit a number of other coves and caves inaccessible by car. Virginie couldn’t have been more helpful. We had a brief interruption to the water supply but she was proactive in reaching a solution quickly and kept us well informed throughout. She also provided comprehensive recommendations for local beaches and restaurants which we referred to regularly during our stay. Overall we felt very lucky to have stayed for a week in Virginies gorgeous home and very much hope to visit again in the future.

We had the best time at Manos’ villa. It is even more beautiful than the photos and was spotlessly clean, had everything you could possibly need and was so close to beautiful beaches. Sitting on the balcony every morning looking out to sea was just soooo relaxing. We all slept so well in the comfy beds. We have fallen in love with this part of Crete and hope to come back to this gorgeous villa asap! Manos is a warm and responsive host and we felt so at home. Thanks so much!!!

Excellent villa in great location only 3 minutes walk from great restaurants and the beach. Spotlessly clean, has every creature comfort needed to enjoy a relaxing holiday. All utilities and furnishings to a high standard. Great host who goes an extra mile to ensure everything is to your satisfaction. We would return to Plakias and this Villa.

Frank and Chrissula are an excellent host. They were always available to communicate. The place is located in a quiet spot although it is close to the road. The place is clean and nice as described in the picture. Thank you for hosting us , Frank and Chrissula.

This was our best AirBnB booking so far. Evangelia and Stelios were the perfect hosts. They surprised us with a fantastic greek welcome dinner on our first evening. Throughout our stay we were treated with delicious snacks and even wine. The villa is modern, luxurious and quiet. The view from the pool and terrace is amazing. Evangelia and Stelios did everything they can to make our stay fantastic. The villa is cleaned flawlessly twice a week and Stelios takes care of the pool. Once we had a sahara dust storm. They worked so hard to clean everything as quickly as possible. We will never forget this stay and might come back in the near future. Thank you Evangelia and Stelios once again.

Die Villa bietet eine malerische Aussicht und ist wie beschrieben ausgestattet. In der Nähe befinden sich mehrere schöne Strände, die leicht mit dem Auto erreichbar sind – eine perfekte Alternative, falls der Pool einmal nicht ausreichen sollte. Auch einige gute Restaurants liegen in kurzer Fahrdistanz. Die Ankunft verlief reibungslos und unkompliziert. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die ausgezeichnete Kommunikation: Die Gastgeber waren stets erreichbar und überaus hilfsbereit. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt wäre der Wind, der an einigen Tagen recht stark war, jedoch meistens als angenehm empfunden wurde.

The house and views were beautiful. An out of the ordinary sandstorm rolled in and the owner immediately came to clean the outdoor area. She was very responsive and attentive. The house had everything we needed to cook breakfast. There are very few walkable places, but if you have a car, it is no problem. We would return, it was perfect for our group of 6.

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

Beatiful view and nice downstairs appartment with own pool and yard. Parking lot had always room for our car. From parking lot there are deep stairs down to the appartments yard. We came late in evening and it was little bit difficult to get in without light on the appartment door. Pool was great for swimming and view fo Chania and sea bay just amazing. If you have lot of electronic devices with you, take a power strip with you. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet during our stay in April. Really nice place to relax and enjoy life.

Beautiful place, great for families. Lots of toys and even a potty for the kids! Cleaner came mid week which was not necessary but so great. Beach is a 3 min walk. Really need a car to get there which was fine for us! Thanks for everything.

Spent my 50th bday at Nikos place and it was 10/10! There was 7 of us girls and the place was so spacious, private, well equipped and extremely clean. We loved that we could walk to PIGI (5 minute) to the market and a choice of 3 local restaurants. Nikos helped me set up car rental, massages, boat and he had excellent restaurant recommendations. All 10/10 especially our massage therapist. She was the best massage I have ever! we all had 2 massages each as she was that good. I think we will have a yearly trip to Crete and will be returning to Nikos place. Both him and Alexia (whom maintains the property) were amazing and managed all requests! Thank you again for a memorable time in Crete!

We loved staying at Petros's place. The location is picture perfect and completely serene, coupled with the stunning views - perfect getaway gem. The villa is beautifully designed with lots of places to explore and hang out in. Petros is very accommodating and all around helpful from assisting us in setting up the outdoor speakers to offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf. We had an absolutely amazing time and hope to stay at the villa again when we come back to Crete. Highly recommend!

Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! Amazing home.

This is a 10/10 Villa. We have travelled a lot and this is by far the best Villa we have stayed in. We were a family of 9 (5 adults and 4 children aged 2, 4, 9 and 11). The views are stunning, the pool is big, all the rooms have private bathroom. Jacuzzi is also perfect for when the sun goes down! Theo was a wonderful host helping us, giving good recommendations and suprising as with some nice gestures. This Villa really is a Gem as the name suggests. As for the surroundings - it is 100% private! For me the best part was that there is a nice local village to walk to every night. There are some amazing Tavernas/Restaurants with delicious food and reasonable prices (also a mini-market). There is also a nice beach with a good restaurant and a nice cozy beach bar - it is only a 10 minute walk from the villa. And if you rent a car then it is a 10 minute ride to the Rethymnon old town, which is also a very nice place with lots of shops and restaurants. The Villa was worth every euro!

We were absolutely stunned by this Villa! It looked exactly like the photos but even more beautiful in person. Quiet surroundings with sounds of the ocean in the background. Slow mornings by the infinity pool or a late dinner outside to watch the sunset. We had a perfect week there and will for sure be coming back. Most beautiful AirBnB I ever ever stayed at for sure.

We had a wonderful, peaceful & relaxing week in this beautiful house. Amazing location, stylish, spacious, comfortable & very well-equipped. It’s 3 minutes from the small town of Sellia (3 or 4 nice traditional restaurants & small but useful supermarket), 10 minutes from the bigger (seaside town) of Plakias (many restaurants, 2 big supermarkets, butcher & baker), yet out on its own: utterly quiet & private and with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the sea. Cordula - who created this fabulous place, from ground up & with incredible attention to detail, is a perfect host. She couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful: at all stages proactive, quick & very clear communication and always concerned about our convenience & comfort. Our flight time meant we didn’t arrive until 8pm & Cordula offered to order & collect food from one of the excellent local restaurants & keep it warm in the oven, so after a long & tiring journey our holiday started straightaway. We would love to return.

Wow. What a wonderful experience we had. The villa was amazing and hosts were so warm and friendly. The village of Seĺlia was quaint and to our delight home to 2 amazing restaurants. We absolutely had an amazing time exploring Crete and the south coast in particular. We absolutely loved it. Thanks to all.

Die Unterkunft war traumhaft! Von beiden Schlafzimmern gab es Pool- und Meerblick. Wir haben eine Woche dort sehr gut entspannen können. Die Dame vom Housekeeping war einfach die Beste. Sehr freundlich und immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Es war sehr sauber und die Betten sehr bequem. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen und in den Umgeben Tavernen sehr gut gegessen. Da es an der Straße die Pyrgos Exquisite Villas, Exklusive Villas und nur Villas gibt, war es im dunkeln erst etwas verwirrend das richtige Haus zu finden, da könnte vielleicht eine Karte/Skizze für die Anreise helfen damit man nicht erst an der falschen Villa im dunkeln steht. Housekeeping war regelmäßig da um den Müll zu entsorgen und auch Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurde gewechselt nach 4 Tagen. Das war sehr toll! Kann gerne vielleicht beim Check-In pro aktiv mit den Gästen kommuniziert werden. Uns was es erst nicht klar und wir hatten dann die Handtücher in der vorhandenen Waschmaschine gewaschen 😂 Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Ein sehr schönes Haus, wir waren zu fünft und es war von der Grösse und Ausstattung perfekt für uns. Ein Auto ist für die Gegend zu empfehlen, Parkplätze vorhanden. Es kam fast jeden Tag jemand vorbei, der den Pool gereinigt hat, das wäre nicht nötig gewesen. Schöne Strände in der Nähe, Supermarkt, Metzger (für den Grill) sehr nah. Würden wir noch mal buchen

We LOVED this place!! The villa, the location, and the hosts Eleni and Georgios are all fantastic. The house is stunningly designed inside and out, for both functionality and luxury. The kitchen is supremely well-equipped, beds comfortable, bathrooms and living spaces airy and stylish. We appreciated the multiple terraces, beautiful swimming pool and sauna with a view! The location is perfect without a car: easily walkable to bars, restaurants and supermarkets in Plakias, but situated at the best, quietest, wildest end of the bay, with sandy beach, clear water, a couple of cool beach bars for sundowners and a beautiful walk on the headland. If you do have a car, there are amazing beaches nearby (Skinaria is gorgeous), and walking (and cold swimming) in the Kourtaliotiko Gorge. Eleni and Georgios are amazing hosts: communicative, friendly, thoughtful, offering local recommendations and dealing with any questions or issues efficiently - thank you! 🤩

We loved our stay here, it was everything we could have wanted and more. Such a warm welcome with an assortment of delicious homemade food, fruit and local Raki. The villa layout was perfect for our family (2 adults and 3 kids) and as everyone’s said, the view out over the sea is spectacular- I’d never tire of that view! If we ever needed anything Aris and the team were always on hand to help. The villa is so well equipped too, and even plenty of condiments, which is such a thoughtful touch. The area around Plakias is relatively quiet compared to places in the North, but that suited us well. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in Plakias and being able to have a meal together, right on the seafront is what holidays are made of. We didn’t have a bad meal out - best was probably Taverna Dionyssos, up in the hills behind the town. Highlights for me would be morning coffee on the terrace looking out at that amazing view and snorkelling in the cove just below the villa. Heaven
