Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Muskoka District Municipality

We stayed at the House by the Locks as part of a family vacation in February 2025 and had a fantastic time. This is a unique heritage home that takes "historic character" to a whole new level. It was beautifully furnished, spacious for our party of 6, spotlessly clean, and had a well-equipped kitchen. We used it as home base for doing winter activities at Algonquin and Arrowhead Provincial Parks, and it was a pleasure to return to at the end of the day. Check-in/out was easy, and the host was friendly and responsive. 10/10. Highly recommended!

Reghan's place was absolutely amazing. As described this place offers everything you could need to feel like at home. We had the best time at Huntsville, Muskoka, there's lots to do but coking back to rest to this beautiful place made it even more special. would recommend 100%

This cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It was so nice. The location was perfect there were lots of different restaurants to choose from. In the cottage there was DVDs and board games which was amazing. Overall it was a great stay. Highly recommend. We really enjoyed our stay :)

The perfect getaway! It’s so cozy feels like you’re at home. The property has everything you would need for a short- term or a long -term stay- lots of linen, toiletries, utensils and kitchen appliances. Esteban was a very good and responsive host. There are a few fast food chains around that are open till 12am, and grocery and convenience stores are right around. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

We want to thank Abigail for giving us the pleasure of renting this space. We were so much more comfortable than we would have been at the hotel! We felt at home, and very comfortable and the kids had a blast! One tiny thing that was missing was a keurig but the coffee maker worked great, we just ran back out quickly for ground coffee. Not a big deal at all given the location! Thanks so much! Highly recommend!

Fred’s house was great! The house’s open concept was large enough for all of us (6 adults) to hang out in through the cold winter days without feeling crowded. The fireplace added lovely ambience and warmth. The six bedrooms ensured we all had our own space, which was a nice treat for our girls’ weekend. The master bedroom with ensuite was particularly spacious. The whole house was nicely decorated, and overall was a cozy and welcoming place. We didn’t use the sunroom, as is unfortunately smelled of smoke. Fred was a very responsive host. He quickly answered any questions. We had a lovely stay here, and wouldn’t hesitate to fully recommend it.

Ballard Cabin was the perfect getaway! It has a warm, rustic hunting cabin vibe that made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The space is incredibly cozy, with a super comfy couch and a great collection of books to browse through. The kitchen was amazing—fully stocked with everything we needed to cook a gourmet meal. The location was also perfect: just minutes from town and a short drive to Arrowhead Provincial Park, where we spent the weekend skating. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend! Thanks, Luca!

We came in from Alberta for a wedding in the area, and stayed at Tara’s place. It was much larger than we had imagined, and the property was just gorgeous! We would absolutely book with Tara again if we were back in the area.

Great place to stay with your family. Everything was clean and organized prior to our arrival. We came during an ice storm, and the host cleaned the driveway for us and provided salt to make sure our safe stay! Wonderful experience, will recommend this place to anyone who's going to Huntsville !

This Muskoka getaway was amazing! I booked the cottage for a girls weekend. With the ice storm Bracebridge got during the week, Kevin kept me well updated with power updates. He was was great to communicate with, very friendly and very responsive. The cottage itself was beautiful and had plenty of space and parking for everyone. Check-in was super easy and everything was clean and as described. All of the girls commented on how great the cottage was and liked how much space there was and that there was a pool table, dart board and hot tub. I also hosted an in-person Clue Game, and it was great having so many rooms. We didn't use the pool as it wasn't open (winter season) but the pool would be so nice in the summer with the sundeck attached. I can't wait to book again, maybe a summer getaway! We had a wonderful March break week at Mark and Betty's. It's like living in an art gallery! The view was beautiful and a very peaceful and private location. My daughter loved the rooms and toys downstairs and we really appreciated the modern kitchen and fantastic fireplace.

We had an amazing time at this beautiful place! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stunning front yard with an incredible fire pit that made for cozy evenings under the stars. The backyard was just as fantastic, featuring a lovely pool and hot tub that provided the perfect spots for relaxation and fun. The property was well-maintained, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We would absolutely love to stay here again. Highly recommended!

This is a gem of a find - serene property, beautiful house and extremely client-centric host. Abdul was very accommodating in all of our request, and very responsive. The indoor pool was an epic addition to the weekend! Highly recommend this place!

There aren’t words to describe how incredible our stay at your family cottage in Dorset was. This is our 17th year doing family cottage getaways and I can honestly say that this was by far the best. Nobody wanted the trip to end…From the gorgeous and blissful lake to the new dock filled with Muskoka chairs and enough kayaks that we went on our first ever family kayak expedition, to the neat little fire pit, to the indoor pool and the multitude of games and even a karaoke machine which was great for evenings and rainy days. The cottage was prepared with everything and anything we could have needed including the much appreciated extras like duck food for the kids to feed the duck family that frequented the dock. The cottage was spacious with enough room for everyone to sleep and live comfortably, and beautifully decorated and we truly felt that it was a home away from home. The Gerbers are hosts extraordinaire and we hope that we can return again for another wonderful family vacation!

Hi, I am sorry, I was busy for the last couple of days and couldn't respond to any mail regarding the reservation. I have already paid 225$ cleaning fee on the reservation and I had no idea that the host would ask an additional 250$ for all the little stains on the floor (I thought they were covered in the cleaning fee). I have been to many Airbnb's and never been asked such a kind of amount for cleaning. He is charging for a new pot because we forgot to wash it, and it was already kind of damaged when we took it out. I am sure I am not such a kind of host who breaks furniture in other houses (we didn't even touch the cupboards). If he is still insisting on the amount I don't mind you, taking it out of my credit card. I had a great time staying there and do not want to ruin that experience with this issue. Not only was there every luxury for me, it was a doggie paradise for Crickett. Huge fenced yard, great walks and leash free park around the corner. Inside there’s a dog house full of toys and even a bowl of water when we arrived. The perfect spot for anyone that likes having a four legged buddy along for the adventure.

Jason had a beautiful home that we were grateful to spend our Christmas holidays at. When there was an issue with electronics that we needed help with, not only did he respond rapidly but also came in person to help rectify the issue. A beautiful home and a wonderful host. :)

Had a fabulous fall weekend at Richard's beautiful cottage in Baysville! The pictures on Airrbnb were totally accurate, this cottage is gorgeous! It has everything you could possibly need for cooking meals, very well appointed kitchen. Cozy living room with ample comfy couches around a gorgeous fireplace. The views of the lake are so pretty... perfect setting! We hioe to return! Thanks Richard!

I had a wonderful solo experience at Catherine's cabin. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything I needed to cook simple delicious meals. BBQ for dinners and the frying pan was perfect for breakfast. The view was absolutely stunning, which you can enjoy from the private dock or from the cabin. It was only a 15 minute drive away from beautiful hikes and the grocery store or butcher. Very grateful to have found this place and will definitely come back.

What a weekend we had!!! We were guests but felt like family. The welcome and hospitality were extremely warm and friendly. Everything was as it was described. We will be back!

We absolutely loved the cottage it was perfect for our week at the beach. The beach itself was just steps away and was absolutely beautiful with calm,clear water and friendly neighbours. There is a strong sense of community in the area. We really loved the outdoor shower which was a family favourite. We will defiantly come back to this cottage again and again if we can.

We had a wonderful stay at Jonathan Cottage! The place was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. It came fully equipped with lots of appliances, making everything super convenient. The access to the property was smooth, and communication with the host was always prompt and helpful. We especially loved the newly rebuilt outdoor areas near the lake—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the view. The cottage itself is spacious, offering plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. Highly recommended!

Darlene has a most lovely cottage that she is generously sharing with others. It is completely as the pictures show it. The waterfront is beautiful, swimable and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the cottage had all amenities needed for both indoor living and outdoor recreation. Darlene was very responsive and flexible. Do not hesitate to stay here! We discovered the perfect secluded getaway in this beautifully maintained property. The grounds were consistently plowed during snowfall, making our winter stay worry-free. The main cottage comfortably accommodated our group of 5, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a thoughtful welcome kit with snacks and coffee. Two full bathrooms with provided toiletries made sharing the space easy, and the comfortable beds ensured restful nights. The clean, spacious hot tub was perfect for relaxing after outdoor activities, and the reliable wifi kept us connected. We enjoyed both the excellent heating system and the cozy wood fireplace, all while taking in beautiful waterfront views. Killbear Provincial Park, just 40 minutes away, offered excellent winter hiking. Quick tips: bring extra towels as only one is provided per person, and pack slip-on shoes for travelling between cottages. While water has a slight odour, it tastes perfectly fine. We’d love to return in the summer! Highly recommend!
