With a lot of work on our own, we turned a 90s studio with carpeting into a cozy vacation apartment. From here you can start in the surrounding national park, go to the swimming lake or go on a bike tour. The garden house is located in the immediate vicinity of our family home. Enjoy the tranquility and security of these ancient walls. Surrounded by ancient trees in the Mecklenburg Lake District. Your apartment is on the 2nd floor and was carefully renovated. We rebuilt the old clay frameworks, uncovered the ancient floorboards and only the finest clay paint was used on the walls. The hideaway is rounded off by a small cast iron fireplace for the evenings and a private sauna on the edge of the field... We love children 🧡🌟 4 cats and 1 dog live on the farm ;-)

A house in the fields

The house stands alone in a sea of fields, swept by the wind, in a large perennial garden. With many fellow artists and friends, this formerly unspectacular guesthouse from the 90s was rebuilt and renovated, and a garden was created with the help of landscape designer Rainer Elstermann. In constant growth and change, an idyllic place was created – and is still being created – which can accommodate 10 people in the guest area and 8 people in the mainly privately used studio area.

We rent this beautiful apartment in our large, rustic farmhouse, which we have lovingly renovated exclusively with natural building materials. The apartment faces southeast and you can have breakfast in the morning sun. It has everything you need for cooking and when the moon rises you can light a small fire in the garden. In the Mecklenburg Lake District, there are an incredible number of great lakes and you can go cycling & hiking. Blankensee/Meckl. even has a train station.
