Nishimura Residence is a traditional Nara machiya (townhouse) over 110 years old.I renovated “Grandma’s place,” where I spent a long period of my childhood, and opened it as an inn in 2019.Since the Nara machiya has been preserved in its original state, there are many inconveniences, and it is not a luxurious hotel where everything is provided. 　On the other hand, I think it’s the perfect place to soak up the “cozy, rustic” atmosphere that permeates Naramachi.In the hope of helping guests “reflect and rejuvenate” in an environment away from the hustle and bustle of the station, we provide books in the room and a vegetarian-style breakfast.(Almost all of the books in the room are available for purchase.) 　Please spend this evening in the tranquility of the Nishimura residence and Nara-cho, listening to the voice of your own heart.

This land with its old-fashioned townscape and famous water is hot in summer and cold in winter. But that's why the rice, vegetables, and meat are also delicious. This is a newly renovated old Japanese house, a middle-class residence built in 1929 and renovated in 2017. It is a legal accommodation permitted by the city of Osaka. Located in the southern part of Osaka, a very quiet residential area. 10 minutes away from the nearest subway station, Kishinosato. It is easy to reach Namba, Umeda by subway, KIX and Koyasan by Nankai Railway. The 7-11 convenience store is one minute away. The Sento public bath is also very close to my house.

This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!
