Family-friendly vacation rentals in Multnomah County

This beautiful property is off the beaten path, peaceful and bucolic, cozy and well appointed ... close to all you want to see and do in Portland. We woke to birdsong and woodpeckers, strolled through the vineyards, and then picnicked under the cherry blossoms along the Williamette in downtown Portland for lunch! The kitchen had everything we needed for a fun family dinner with game playing around the farmhouse table when the weather turned rainy in the evening. Highly recommended!

This place is a gem, for sure! What really stood out to us was that the house felt loved and cared for, in all the best ways. The garden was charming with its ponds and gazebo, and both house and yard made excellent use of space and felt much larger than the square footage would imply. Tabor Bread was an easy walk away and its pastries were delightful. There were many other restaurants in walking distance too. Dallas was an extremely responsive host and made us feel right at home. We would gladly stay here again!

Ally is the best host ever! She went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We had an amazing experience at her gem of a place! Located in a quiet neighborhood, yet very close to downtown Portland. Amazing Mountain Views!! Ally gave us a detailed tour of the adorable farm animals. Our kids loved it! She was super accommodating of all our special requests and made us feel at home. Hands down this has been one of the best experiences we have had via Airbnb. Dee was an amazing host and her property is gorgeous! She accommodated us last minute, dropped off fresh bread, and let us say hi to her precious dog. Truly one of the best airbnbs I’ve seen in Portland and I manage some myself. We will be back! 😊

I couldn’t have enjoyed my stay here any more than I did! The space is beautiful and much more spacious than the photos make it seem. The restaurant below has great food as well. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

Diane's airbnb is conveniently located for us to visit our kids and grandkids, and also anyone who has students at Reed College. We love the feel of the neighborhood, and walking around at night is beautiful around Christmas time with lights on houses. Also, I should add, the bed was very very comfortable. Dianne and Michael made us feel welcome!

What a fantastic experience! Melissa is a great host and I could not ask for a better AirBNB. The home was very cute and for me and my girlfriend felt like our own little apartment! It’s got a lot of charm! The only thing that happened was the power went out while we were making dinner, but it was an easy fix! Thank you!

Arlene’s is just as you see it The windows onto the garden are magical. It’s plenty of space for a couple. The kitchen is wonderful to cook in and the table over looking the garden is wonderful! The tub is amazing and can’t say enough about the heated bathroom floor titles. We felt welcomed, comfortable and at home right away. Hoping to come back and stay again soon

The Art House perfectly met our needs. From the cozy fireplace to the comfy beds, we felt right at home on this mother-daughter time away. Leah was very responsive and provided a clear balance of privacy and friendliness -- respecting our time alone but inviting us to stop by to say hello should we choose :) We're looking forward to returning with the rest of the family.

We had to book this place last minute (day of) as our previous accommodations had cancelled on us. Susan was so easy to work with and was very helpful! Couldn’t have asked for a better saving of the day. The house was very clean, and was perfect for our group of gals. We had 1 guest that is severely allergic to dogs and even though this is a pet friendly house, not once did she have any type of reaction which goes to show just how clean the house was. I would absolutely recommend to a friend!

Our stay at Andrea's Airbnb was truly exceptional! The space offered all of the comforts of home, a beautifully modern fully equipped kitchen, a luxurious bathroom and a cozy inviting atmosphere. The location could not have been better, close to restaurant's and shops but the apartment's location itself was extremely peaceful. We also really appreciated the thoughtfully prepared notebook, which included everything we needed to know about the apartment and local area. It made settling in and exploring so easy. The hostess was incredibly responsive whenever we had a question or needed anything which made our experience seamless. I can't recommend this beautiful place highly enough!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Susan and Steve's Casita for an extended stay. They are such kind, friendly, and attentive hosts! The Casita is so comfortable and quiet and you can't beat the location. The Alberta Arts District is a vibrant community with excellent restaurants, art galleries, taphouses and cafes within walking distance. Susan and Steve had excellent recommendations for us on places to go in the area. We highly recommend this accommodation for your next trip!!

Awesome stay at Denny’s place. This is the second time I stayed there because the location is perfect and the apartment is sweet. It is everything you could need for a fun visit to Portland especially if you are a walker! My dog Ozzie gives five stars for the private backyard.

This was a great rental for my large group. It was able to fit all of us comfortably. The kitchen was great and all of the amenities were modern and clean.

Probably one of our favorite airbnbs we’ve stayed in. It was so cozy and homey and we loved the location you can literally walk to everything. We were so charmed we may even move to Portland!

Jillette’s place was totally great for us. It was reasonably priced for what we got. The HVAC unit went down during our stay and there was someone to check on it within an hour. The heat pump was out so she door-dashed a space heater for us right away. Nicely done! We cooked and made coffee, everything in the kitchen functions. We’ll def book again next time we’re rolling through the greater PDX area

I had an exceptional stay! I felt safe and felt very peaceful in my surroundings.

This was our second time at this little house. The location is very convenient, the house is comfortable and clean, towels and other necessities are well stocked.

We stayed here for six days and it felt very cozy and like home. Location is nice with a very pleasant back yard. The house stays warm during the winter and we look forward to staying here again.

This place is both spacious and cozy. The neighborhood is really cute. Walking distance from about of restaurants, bars, and shopping in the Mississippi neighborhood, and only a 5 min walk from Light Rail or a couple of main bus lines. The hosts were quick to respond and very accommodating. The home was very clean, while remaining inviting. It was peaceful and quiet, despite being so near a couple of major through streets. If this place is available any time I visit Portland and need a 2br, this will always be my spot.

This pace was conveniently located in a great neighborhood. It was the perfect spot for me and my kids when we were visiting family.
