I am so glad i found this amazing place where i spent a month enjoying the sights and sounds. A perfect place to get away from it all but still be in touch with the sights. very easy to get to from the airport, close to Düsseldorf and Cologne. Even better inside than in the pictures. Almut and Guido are so welcoming. there was no washing machine in the house and they installed it very quickly. I really enjoyed living in this house and highly recommend it to everyone.

I have rarely felt as at home as with Bettina and her husband. Very quiet location, both are mega friendly and helpful. Both thumbs up!!! Will definitely be back.

It's a really nice apartment. Check-in was smooth and personal. The apartment owner's brother was very nice. There were cold drinks and sweets. The sofa bed was comfortable and it was clean. The only drawback: the WiFi did not work. Since we only tested it at night, we didn't make any further contact. We leave early in the morning. A solution would probably have been found.

An older apartment with a special charm, very centrally located and easily accessible. Communication was always fast and friendly. We'd love to stay there again!

I was allowed to spend a few days with Diana and Alex and what can I say: It was just great! The room was not only beautiful and super clean, but also furnished with a lot of love for detail. You can immediately feel that people with heart are the hosts here. Diana and Alex are incredibly warm, helpful and open and you feel welcome and well taken care of from the first moment. Such hosts are rare – everything is just right here. I highly recommend this place and would come back anytime. Thank you for everything and please stay exactly as you are! 🙂

Beautiful house with breathtaking views over Lake Baldeney. The house has everything you need for a good time in Essen, everything very high quality and even personal, which you can't find in every typical Airbnb. Throughout the house you can enjoy music in the best quality, for example through Spotify. Also, the house has a fully equipped modern kitchen with everything you need and even several fully automatic coffee machines. You can grill in the garden with a weaver or relax in your own house which has a heated hot tub and sauna. The hosts Clemens and Mr. Siegler are very friendly, extremely hospitable and are always easily accessible. No matter what I asked, everything was always done to make you feel comfortable. I absolutely loved to stay here. It was very cozy and just a great place to crash after an eventful day. We did have a lil trouble with the internet on the second day but Julia helped us fix it, even though she was on vacation on her own. She was an absolutely lovely host and I would definitely love to visit again. <3

Pietra's place is beautiful, cozy and super well located. For those who like to cook, the apartment is perfect! We spent wonderful days in Dusserdorf.

There were three of us at Corinna's place for three days. Even before, the communication was great and everything could be easily clarified. Corinna was super friendly and we could always turn to her. She was able to give us a few good tips for the area, but also had a folder in the apartment where everything necessary could be found. The accommodation was very cozy, simple and timelessly furnished and we felt immediately comfortable. The city is easily accessible via a few stairs and you have everything you need. Me, my husband & 9 month old stayed in Ulf & Charlottes apartment and it was honestly wonderful. Beautifully presented and had everything we needed and more. The apartment is located in a quiet neighborhood in the middle of Essen. There are very good shopping facilities (Aldi, Lidl, Rewe), several bakeries and restaurants within walking distance. The apartment is very tastefully furnished and looks exactly like the photos. We particularly liked the brick wall with the timber frame and the wooden floorboards. There is a balcony to the courtyard and the kitchen is great! Rüdiger is a great host. He greeted us personally, which we found very nice, especially since he had to wait for us. He had a lot of good tips for bike tours and activities in Essen and the surrounding area. Essen is an ideal starting point for excursions in and around the Ruhr area. The musical "Starlight Express," for example, is 25 minutes by car. We really enjoyed the days and would be happy to come back.

During my stay everything worked out. I would choose the place again at any time.
