Muar Sapiah House

AqilahRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Honestly, we absolutely loved this place — it felt just like home. The house is beautifully designed, with charming refurbished antique furnishings that add so much character. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it hard to leave! I only wish we could’ve stayed longer. A solid 10/10 in my books! 🤍✨

Teratak Cikgu NURUL Muar POOL muslim 6 BEDS

Nur AssikinRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The homestay is really clean and there wasnt even one lizard or cockroach in the house inspite of it being at the corner. A clean homestay is a hard-find, so we were beyond grateful. The bed were comfortable with working air conditioners, clean fridge and complete utensils. The pool was clean and well filtered. Toilets were very clean. It had a set of shampoo and body wash, so those without toiletries need not worry. We BBQ-ed with the available grill, sat by the patio and had a great chilling night. The host went above and beyond for us. We enjoyed her hospitality and appreciated her kindness throughout our stay. If Muar ever comes up in our plans, we’ll definitely consider this homestay again.

Your guide to Muar

All About Muar

Roughly halfway between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian city of Muar is famous for its diverse architecture and regional cuisine. Here you’ll find everything from traditional temples and mosques — most of which are located along the Muar River — to neoclassical-style stunners like the Muar Syariah Court. The city is known for its coffee, and one good way to experience Muar is to tour the coffee shops and food stalls specializing in local dishes like otak-otak, curried fish wrapped in coconut leaves. Outside of Muar, you’ll find lush, mountainous terrain outside of the city limits in Gunung Ledang National Park, home to mountain hikes and gorgeous waterfalls, such as Puteri Waterfalls.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Muar

Located near the equator, Muar enjoys a tropical climate that is hot and often overcast. The city experiences plentiful rainfall from April to September. If you prefer warm and dry weather, the best time to visit Muar is between January and May, when the equatorial heat is not too harsh, and there is little to no rain. This period is also the best time for outdoor enthusiasts who appreciate sightseeing, hiking, and recreational parks. From October to March, flowers bloom, adding to the beauty and fragrance of the city. In October, Maur celebrates the Nine Emperor God Festival, offering vegetarian food and traditional dances.
